I'm generally seeing (1) a rapid increase in boil-in-the-bag ActivityPub platforms being launched (presumably coded by genAI) and (2) an uptick in spurious Nodeinfo metadata being published.

The Venn diagram isn't a circle, but there's plenty of overlap.

I'll start tracking this more rigourously so I can share some data, but for now, just my anecdotal observation.
