More horror stories coming out from my contact. Not sure how much I can share without being identifying, but a few lessons I would really appreciate people sharing around.
1. Friends don't let friends use Folx.
2. Friends especially don't let friends use Folx for surgery letters.
3. And absolutely under no circumstance do friends let these bastards assign them a male therapist for surgery letters.
Absolutely insane gatekeeping. When she complained they sent her a form letter. She's switching to True U where this shit doesn't happen.
I'm not asking everybody to be an anarchist. But I think people should be able to generally agree that bodily autonomy is incredibly important, constantly under seige, and the people seiging it are always the worst of us. See also: the abortion bans, and the way they always turn states into fucking Gilead *because that is what those bans exist to do.*
So if someone wants different genitals, it's not my job to care what their gender is, let alone police. Alright, friend, make your body what you want it to be!
Now. Ponder for a second. We live in a police state that wants to limit surgery access to people who are "actually trans." If you're a therapist, what is the single ethical thing to do?
