I know it was just a carpet cleaning, but it feels nice to have done something good. We couldn't afford replacing the carpet, so we settled on Stanley Steemer. They did a phenomenal job.

Hopefully we'll have the funds fully saved this time next year to replace the carpet. We were close to having it fully funded, but our fence fell down into our neighbor's backyard, so that (obviously) took financial priority. Lowe's quoted us a little bit over $6,000 USD and, at the time, we had $3,000 saved.

(We don't use credit cards or other financing options--we're old school and save for (99.9% of) things. The only debt we have is our mortgage. We paid off the car earlier this year and that was our only non-mortgage debt.)

These past couple weeks, things have just been lining up nicely. And I'm grateful for that.
