😓 Google Maps web site really tries very hard to switch users to the mobile app.
A lot non-dismissible prompts. Tapping on “Find a place” field will also attempt to launch the mobile app.

@cheeaun Reddit too. Many big brands do that. Google Maps might be the only one that's slightly justified to do so; most don't work better because it's an app :(
@cheeaun I was only using Google Maps for the reviews, but they gated that behind the app now. At one point you could remove cookies/data for it and get back some functionality, but then it would start pushing everything to the app again.
