I recently discovered Strobilurus esculentus on a walk with @evansky_arts, a species of fungus that grows exclusively on spruce cones and it is so incredibly whimsical that I absolutely had to paint something inspired by it. 🧡

Excellent Bluies weekend here. Lawson Festival was low key and cool, saw a bunch of bands, at a scone. Did some gardening and pottering today, then family pizza in K-tow for dinner.
