I think up until very recently, I still had some misplaced hope that we might get some genAI resistance from some existing established leaders in the FLOSS community.
However, I am finally internalizing that, it is either never coming; or if it does it will arrive far too late.
@wizbean @trashheap Interestingly, AI one-shots people in position of leadership because of the infinite marketing promise. It can also affect people making stuff but it's less likely or they only resist it in their particular are of expertise while using it in other domains.
Sad stuff overall.

@trashheap leaders seem to have been compromised, perhaps because they were easy to identify and isolate
the resistance will have to start grassroots, and we'll have to become our own leaders
