The last few photos were taken at Ardkinglas Woodland Gardens last week, where they have a magnificent tree suitable for #ThickTrunkTuesday except for the fact that I failed to get a good photo of it, mainly due to unhelpful drizzle by the time we got round to it.
Had a vague memory of taking a better one on a previous visit, & it turns out not only have I posted it, but I'd posted it for a thick trunk Tuesday. Three years ago though, so I reckon I can get away with a repost.
Just look at this MAGNIFICENT BEAST of a tree.
I found a splendid tree for #ThickTrunkTuesday in my photo archive.
This is the Ardkinglas Silver Fir, designated as one of fifty great British Trees by the Tree Council according to the plaque that was by it.
Designated as AWESOME by me.
Drawn figures for scale (and to cover up some slightly quick 'n' dirty editing out of people as I failed to get a good photo of it alone).
