Bridgy Fed now officially supports Mastodon quote posts!
If you see a post bridged from the Atmosphere on the Fediverse, you can quote it using your Mastodon account.
Small note: this will work for posts starting this week - older posts are not supported.
Happy quoting!
@anewsocial
When the post you quoted, is deleted, it's strange.
It's not showing that there was a quoted post... Just a single post.
@joergi Hmm this is what we see on mastodon.social web. Which client is this in, may be client-specific?
@anewsocial
It's on Fedilab.
Ok, in the browser it looks correct
What shows up on fedi when a bridged Bluesky user quotes a non-bridged one?
@anewsocial
@osma That's not possible since the Bluesky user wouldn't see the post on Bluesky in the first place!
If you're asking what happens if a not-bridged Bluesky user quotes a bridged Fedi post: the Fedi user should get a DM from Bridgy Fed informing them of the post and giving them the option to block the user if they don't want them to quote post.
I mean a bridged Bluesky user quoting on Bluesky. Aka, how does the bridge relay quotes?
@anewsocial
@osma The quoted user should get a notification like any other Fedi quote
