Just successfully tested a Pixelfed Group chat between
, GotoSocial and Mastodon!
Also got some great feedback from @dumpsterqueer on how to improve this on our side, so we prepend mentions like they do.
You love to see it ❤️
(Btw: You will be able to use this app with non-pixelfed servers, like GotoSocial and Mastodon later this year!)
@dansup @dumpsterqueer I'm sorry but [at]dumpsterqueer[at]superseriousbusiness.org is the best part of this post. I mean what!? That is amazing! That maybe the best handle on the entire fediverse!
@fiend_unpleasant @dumpsterqueer she also built the coolest fediverse platform, carefully yet powerfully, bringing privacy and safety to the fediverse in a way no other project had, and now we use interactionControl across Mastodon, Pixelfed and a few FEPs.
It's pretty iconic tbh
@dansup so what you are saying is @dumpsterqueer is a hit machine. Producing W after W and there isn't anything big tech can do about it?! Heckin rad!
@fiend_unpleasant @dumpsterqueer couldn't put it better myself.

@dansup this is neat, DM'ing in Mastodon is spooky. Never even considered group chats.
Can you add fedi groups to this? Like a super mega ultra group chat?
@chris Basically they are limited to whatever the admin allows for max # of people, which by default is 10.
I am considering allowing creators with more than 100 followers to create a special group chat that they can limit who can post to, and appears on their profile.
We are also working on a Close Friends feature, which allows you to combine all of them in one chat that you all can share Posts, Stories, media and texts to.

@dansup @dumpsterqueer how does this look on the Mastodon end!
