ANNIE LENNOX
Diva
2018 Europe reissue
Heading to the mainland in a few to see The Smashing Pumpkins “Rats In A Cage” tour in Vancouver tonight with my teenage son.
One quick spin for breakfast before I get on the ferry.
I love Annie so much.
One of my all time favorite female singers, and an absolute badass.
Diva is her best solo album for me, and is chock full of great songs; like the beautiful “Why”, “Walking On Broken Glass”, and “Little Bird”.
In regards to “Why”:
There’s just something about that gorgeous song that does something to me. Annie’s vocal performance on that is so goddamn beautiful, and it’s such a heartbreakingly gorgeous and aching song.
Nice tone to set for what I’m sure will be a very long (and fun) 48 hours in Vancouver.

@TheVinylApe Such an amazing album, but even better live. In the US Medusa came with a Live in New York album for a limited run (I think it was ‘normal’ in UK?), and she absolutely *destroyed* me with it.
I got to see her live three times, and every time was magic.
