ANNIE LENNOX
Diva
2018 Europe reissue
Heading to the mainland in a few to see The Smashing Pumpkins “Rats In A Cage” tour in Vancouver tonight with my teenage son.
One quick spin for breakfast before I get on the ferry.
I love Annie so much.
One of my all time favorite female singers, and an absolute badass.
Diva is her best solo album for me, and is chock full of great songs; like the beautiful “Why”, “Walking On Broken Glass”, and “Little Bird”.
In regards to “Why”:
There’s just something about that gorgeous song that does something to me. Annie’s vocal performance on that is so goddamn beautiful, and it’s such a heartbreakingly gorgeous and aching song.
Nice tone to set for what I’m sure will be a very long (and fun) 48 hours in Vancouver.

@TheVinylApe She’s been so good since the start with much of her catalog rated 5 stars in my local system. One of my favorites is her duet Under Pressure with David Bowie. There’s rehearsal clip on Youtube with other stars singing along backstage that is just amazing
