If you've ever been curious to read Noam Chomsky, Arundhati Roy, Rebecca Solnit, Angela Y. Davis, Astra Taylor, Mike Davis, or Wallace Shawn, this is a good place to start.

For a while, I was under the impression that all spiciness, or burning sensation in food flavoring, would come from capsaicin, the compound that causes it in chili peppers. Then I realized that Sichuan peppers are a quite different kind of heat. Wasabi (horseradish) is different yet again.

How many hot-flavored compounds are there? At least five!

@NanoRaptor I see you've shipped laptops via FedEx as well.

You changed history, you ended the Trump era of politics, and you proved that power still belongs to We The People.

Thank you.

I realize they aren’t private and don’t care.

I vote on such a small minority of things that those few things I do vote on, I have no problem with people knowing it was me.

This seem to stem from a misunderstanding. Lemmy and Mastodon have different goals. Users of each generally don’t want the other’s content generally showing up en masse.

If you want to see something from Mastodon, you can usually get it on Lemmy, and vice versa. I don’t often see Mastodon posts either, but that’s because I only follow Lemmy communities, so I only see them when someone on Mastodon tags a Lemmy community in their post. If you want to see more Mastodon content, see if you can follow some users or hashtags from Lemmy.

But that might not be supported; I haven’t tried. If you prefer Mastodon, I’m pretty sure that you can follow Lemmy communities from there.

@jensorensen I've never seen a more accurate image of Ronald Reagan

“Last night I unfortunately missed a vote series on two Joint Resolutions of Disapproval regarding the sale of weapons to Israel."

Elissa Slopkin was well known last year during her campaign for ducking and dodging questions about her Zionism. The ex-CIA officer with "middle east training" is by her own words EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the region and conflict.

Some how she's CIA trained but just "forgot" about this vote ...

I've been doing a lot of work around anarchists and leftists who lived 120 years ago. But the end goal isn't that, it's to connect the dots to now.

I want to publish a book showcasing the sharpest minds on the left. Not just some twitchers and "influencers" but people who are immersed in this school of thought, people who are actually doing stuff either intellectually or in the streets organizing.

Obviously, I'm doing my research, but I'm curious, who do you think I should be reaching out to.

PM me.

@jalefkowit "Think of the ducks"

I sometimes see my own Lemmy posts, and often others’, on Mastodon, but I have no idea how it happens: It seems random, and I’m not the one doing it…
