@darkbeth Yes, it's a solid option. The main drawbacks: the spam filter is very primitive, and this options also feels to me a bit like a going back before 2010; when I used a mail client and not a webmail only.
But after a bit of tweaking, I found that installing a client (tested Geary), setting up IMAP is not that much a big chore and really usable.
OVH proposes their own webmail software, coming with the hosting plan, and it's not that bad too in case I need access on a public machine.

I haven't used IMAP in decades now, and I was looking into it this morning because Runbox's webmail interface is pretty rough, and I barely even know where to start. KMail? (comes with Fedora)---people say it's crap. Thunderbird? Don't really want Mozilla these days.
I saw Geary, but didn't look into it yet. Maybe that'll be an option.
Also, I just looked up my domain registrar (INWX), and they do, indeed, have email hosting. Gotta look into this now.

For a while, I was under the impression that all spiciness, or burning sensation in food flavoring, would come from capsaicin, the compound that causes it in chili peppers. Then I realized that Sichuan peppers are a quite different kind of heat. Wasabi (horseradish) is different yet again.

Happy 4 years to everyone that arrived in the Great Wave of '22 and are actually still here. You're the real heroes.
I haven't opened the #Fedilab issue tracker in a long time (I am a bit afraid to). But this break really helped me understand where I should put my energy and motivation, and what I can keep doing in the long run.
In a few months, Fedilab will be 10 years old, and if it is still here, it is of course thanks to your support.

The uber-classic 70s-era TV series "Columbo" starring Peter Falk is currently free on #YouTube Movies & TV. YouTube frequently brings various content into free status from paid, but reversion to paid can happen at any time and sometimes the free periods are quite short. This is the first seven seasons -- the original run -- which by far contains the most classic episodes. There is always confusion about the pilots and first episodes. The original pilot, "Prescription: Murder" aired in 1968 and features a not fully developed Columbo character -- there are noticeable differences in Falk's portrayal from what we'd learn to love when the series proper got running. The second pilot "Ransom for a Dead Man" is sometimes catalogued as S1E1 or S1E0, but is not included in the current YT episode list. Instead, E1S1 is "Murder by the Book", which was directed by a little known Universal staff director named Steven Spielberg. Oh, just one more thing!
