4-player action urban fantasy
For a while, I was under the impression that all spiciness, or burning sensation in food flavoring, would come from capsaicin, the compound that causes it in chili peppers. Then I realized that Sichuan peppers are a quite different kind of heat. Wasabi (horseradish) is different yet again.
How many hot-flavored compounds are there? At least five!

OK, so I don't use "Google" as a generic term for searching for things on the web. I usually say "web search" or similar.
But I use Duck Duck Go, and to say I "Duck Duck Went" for something is attractive, but unwieldy.
So from here on I think that when I do a web search I'll say:
"I DD Went"

@TeaKayB Much of what you say is exactly why I am hesitating. I *can* afford the time and the money, but I am unwilling to do so precisely because there are others who couldn't.
Making them see that is absolutely part of the negotiations I'm about to enter with them. As I've said elsewhere, though, it's important when entering a negotiation to know where the lines are.
And if this were an invitation from a nondescript inner-city school I would take it like a shot, even if it cost me money. And have done so. I would still negotiate with them to help them understand what they are asking, but the lines would be in a different place.
Let me also say I very much appreciate you making these points ... it's *really* important that they get aired.

For the record, I have no doubt that you'd bound into the inner-city school with gusto, but as you say, it's good to have these points out in the open.
I'm still unconvinced by "*very" prestigious" being associated with "exposure", even if we set aside all other discussion. Does a really prestige-y school have better opportunities to spread awareness of you and what you do then a less prestige-y one? I get that it might be something that afterwards you can point at and say "I spoke at this prestige-y school", but what's the mechanism through which it brings more people to awareness of your work, over and above less prestigious venues?

So I boosted a slopped cartoon about chess pieces cuddling. Turns out that account is just a constant stream of slop and one of them just happened to go a bit viral.
The OG artist of the chess carton makes a lot more wholesome and cute comics.
It makes me angry that the slop version is getting spread so far and wide while the originals aren't.
