Ouch

CHP Moorpark: ""Last night, November 5, 2026, at approximately 2354 hours, CHP Ventura Officers were investigating a solo-vehicle rollover crash on SR-33 southbound, south of Stanley Avenue, with the #2 lane closed.

A silver BMW 328i approached the closure at a high rate of speed and struck the rear of a white Kia Soul. The Kia was pushed out of control through the flare pattern and struck the rear of a CHP patrol vehicle.

All Officers were outside their patrol vehicles and were uninjured. The Kia driver was transported to VCMC with minor injuries.

The BMW driver, a 28-year-old Oxnard resident, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested for felony DUI causing injury.

The CHP patrol vehicle sustained moderate damage and was disabled.""

Apparently our disgraced former president called Milei before everything went sideways to warn him.

1000 of accounts were drained from Argentina before the official intervention.

This was in the hopes of getting Milei to help him out just like he did with Flavio.

Milei may be an ideological clown but he doesn't do anything for free.

He still didn't help him tho.

porn video games answer the question of "what if someone who couldn't design and couldn't write designed a video game in a genre that almost entirely relies on good writing to work"

@mcc i could see that. The upstream repo maintainers might let an llm tell them that the patch is good, so the patch should include an assurance that this is not a backdoor

@andy thats probably a massive bullet dodged. so much baggage

“They fired all the black and gay people, cut cancer research, cut healthcare for millions, cut food for starving children, killed hundreds of schoolgirls, separated families, put kids in camps, and shot people in the street,” a large liberal account wrote. “We better get fucking even.”

That’s democracy: vote, then hold elected feet to the fire. :)

@RustyRing @regordane @darkuncle @MissConstrue @jeridansky I am just tagging stuff "climate emergency". Because it's beyond a "oh this is a crisis we should convene a working group" to people dying from climate events in large numbers (heatwaves, things like the glacial outflow in Nepal/India/etc.)

@BestGirlGrace genital mare removal surgery is what you have in the emergency room when graceful spark gets stuck inside

@regordane @darkuncle @MissConstrue @jeridansky @ai6yr

I take your meaning, but "crisis" doesn't nail the precise situation. We bollocksed up the climate; it's human-created, and not some mysterious spontaneous change in the climate cycle. Therefore we can (and must) change our behaviour.

"Crisis" in a emotional term; "disruption" is an objective or scientific one.

But there's nothing stopping the both of us from saying, "Climate disruption crisis," eh?

I seem to recall them saying "if we lose, we're all going to jail."
It would be wrong to disappoint them.

i was going to get FRS but i got GMRS for the extra wattage

We shouldn’t be forced to use toxic platforms that track and profile us in order to get public information.

Platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube track and profile their users so that they can target advertising towards them.

Their business models fuel online harms by pushing more and more extreme content to users. Despite this, these platforms are one of the primary ways that government departments share public information.

Tell your MP to support the EDM calling on the UK Government to ensure that all public sector social media content is published on open, decentralised and federated platforms!

i know GMRS and FRS are radio things but I keep reading them as surgeries

With all the recent attempts to demand an "upgrade fee" (or flat up asked to rebuy at full price) on PC for AI slop ports and glorified 64-bit patches [as if we were on consoles with no communities maintaining and upgrading old releases], it's good to get some straight up proper updates provided to existing owners (& to spur on new sales).
"Zero Rebuying: If you already own any Wing Commander title on GOG, the corresponding Anniversary Pack is already sitting on your digital shelf for no cost."

@quixote Er... 7pm. There are already preliminary (2% of votes counted) up at https://electionresults.govt.nz/ge2026/

@alanthecampbell @kevinrns Yep... the massive consumption by AI data centers is about the last thing we need to add to runaway fossil fuels usage right now.

@kevinrns Yep, it's getting bad out there.

I wish there were better clips online of DETECTIVE BUREAU 2-3 I could share with you, but this Criterion video about its director, Seijun Suzuki, will at least give you a taste of his unique and fascinating visual style.
