肩を痛めて、ひと月ほどゲームから遠ざかってから、読書に加速がついている。

そう言えば、忘れていたわけではないけど、こども時代から読書は趣味の一つだった。ゲームも同じくらい当時から趣味だったけれど、昔はそうそう買えるものではなかったからね。

のんびりとならゲームもできる程度には肩が落ち着いてきた今も、不思議と読書量は落ちてない。しばらくは二足の草鞋が続きそう。

Headhunted 12 years ago. Board said to finalise contract with legal. Asked for clause giving me ten years' salary if made redundant. It was so specialised at the time, redundancy was next to impossible, so it was amazingly included. Now AI makes it very possible. Fingers crossed.

先日から半襟を縫い付けているのだけれど、老眼のせいで遅々として進まずモヤモヤしている。
はっきり見えていなくても縫えるけど、視界がぼんやりするのがストレスすぎて…。
でも私の老眼鏡ははんこ彫り仕様なのである意味ルーペ状態になっていて本当に近くしか見えない。
でも縫物はそんな距離ではやらないんだよなぁ…。
読書は出来る距離なのに縫物だとストレスなのなぜですか。
文字サイズと針の先のサイズの違い？

しかし、同じものを見ているようで実は誰一人全く同じものは見えていない。
昨日は洗い物をしながらそんなことをずっとそのことについて考えていました。
（洗い物の時も老眼は大変邪魔です）

If there is enough inlay, a tailor can shorten the back rise by pinning it up on your body until the trousers drape cleanly. They remove this material and then let out the crotch seam to compensate. This way, you don't get a wedgie. Note, cheap pants typically don't have much inlay.

@bolderbekah Thanks! Great info! I am not ready to adjust these without washing them a few times, lol. (raw selvedge denim.... will shrink, for sure.) My other pair, even though washed twice before, shrunk again a bit. (still fit, but not as loose!)
