The slopocalypse has of course degraded my motivation for doing open source, but there are good reasons that I am not giving up despite occasional feelings of futility.
So I wrote about some of those reasons.
Deltok på brettspillkveld med Oppsal Brett & Spill i kveld. En veldig hyggelig, liten gjeng som gjorde at jeg følte meg velkommen som helt ny deltager. Anbefales!
Du finner dem og Holmlia Brettspillklubb på https://brettspill.gg/
Vi spilte Roll for the galaxy.
Føles bra 😅

Here's a typical example of a fresh account posting an absolutely ridiculous set of completely illogical and unsubstantiated attacks on GrapheneOS:
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=50381270
A long term account engaging in years of libel and harassment towards our founder then joins in with it.
Hacker News mods have directly refused to ban accounts repeatedly linking content on harassment sites with leaked personal information and fabricated stories aimed at directing real world violence towards people. They're clearly mainly there for Y Combinator's business interests.

A clue is that the Electoral Commission try to make constituencies have roughly the same population. But there are certain places where geography makes it hard or impractical to change a boundary so they are allowed to have smaller electorates.
Anyway, not being able to find the smallest entry in 650 numbers is another example of why LLMs are a bad choice to find reliable answers.

@ThisCJ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
RNZ are still making some pretty mixed hiring decisions. Far too many of them seem to be jobs for the mediocre siblings rather than merit based. Chris Laidlaw came from well outside the media clique and turned out to be pretty good on Saturday mornings.
@zl2tod I reckon they're trying to compete with the 'celebrity jock' commercial stations... which is stupid, of course, as RNZ is nothing like that commercial drivel.
"Law firms that struck deals with President Donald Trump in early 2025 can expect to be subpoenaed by the House Judiciary Committee next year, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) said on MSNOW on Wednesday night."
