Lmfao a very "official" org is giving g a presentation, but used a teams meeting instead of presentation....
So every time someone tries to add ReadAI to the meeting,EVERYONE gets a "waiting in the lobby" notification...
DENY! 🤣🤣🤣
They can't force mute everyone on a 'meeting' so new getting interpreted on his intro too 😂
@mastodonmigration @Npars01 Not sure that Jeffries and Schumer are directly comparable to Churchill and FDR, Nicole.😂
You make good points about their strategies behind the scenes, but strategic skill is not exclusive to those two, and not what inspired the Blue Wave. That happened because voters want Dems to FIGHT. Under S&J, Dems capitulated and compromised too many times when stiffer resistance was an option, and if the new Dem majority does the same… (cont’d)
You can tell a comic is gonna be super funny when the main thing he's focused on is drawing up a term sheet

The Verge: ‘Total repudiation’: The blue wave is about to hit AI
AI companies have a new threat: a wave of Democrats who campaigned against them.
@ai6yr Good. We need a sharp needle to pop this bubble.

Fediverse
If your “anti-abuse” security requires your software to be closed source, then your software is not secure. Well built software can be open source, and still secure.
You imply that your code could not prevent abuse if it was known, so, no offense, but that code must be pretty bad!
I like the fediverse because it distributes power. I, as a user, have the power to choose my instance, choose my moderation, choose the structure that my social interactions are built upon (threads based, microblogs, etc) and if I dont like something, I have the power to change it. Thats why open source is such a perfect fit to that model. Closed source federation then, sounds to me like you didnt get it.
@CyReVolt WTF it's really not just your connection (manually specified one of Vodkafone's servers because I don't use them normally)
v6 resolves just fine though??? wtf
@fridtjof Haben die kein Bandmaß, wat acht Meter lang is?!?

Please state why you're trying to follow, especially if we've never interacted in any way.
I don't accept empty profiles and am really careful with new accounts. /Soft
It's not against any of you, just a safety measure.

@neauoire the other day I read that a gargoyle isn't a gargoyle unless it contains a rain spout. Related to gargle. But this sculpture appears to literally gargle, so I'm thinking it actually should count, this is surely a gargoyle

Please no. Fediverse, open standards, open source, free software, no bullshit.
@SteveBellovin @jaystephens @mattblaze
seems to require a ieee subscription to get the text. is there a copy of the paper for those of us that don't have ieee paid subscriptions?

oh whew, they must really have messed up, and it's still unfixed?! 🫠
I'm having an open-mind about the #democrat #socialist movement. Because I am a MASSIVE fan of the Nordic Model, which is a hybrid economy. And it kinda sounds like they aren't that Marxist kinda #socialism, but more that....Nordic-esque kind of socialism. The Constitution does need to be revised. We need social safety nets, we need a more parliamentary government. We need to be like #europe, and I'm not just saying that because I'm eurotrash. It needs to happen. #news https://www.cnn.com/2026/11/05/politics/live-news/midterm-election-congress
most of antisemitism here in Germany doesn't have anything to do with foreign (state) actors, by far. (I don't think Arne believes that, but I think many people on the left think that through identification with principles of Enlightenment lefties are better suited to recognize and fight it. I have come to doubt that)
@kami_kadse yes, I don’t believe that most of the Antisemitism here has to do with foreign state actors.
But there is a grain of truth: according to the BKA reports in 2025, large parts of the antisemitic *violence* that is usually attributed by media to the left is committed by people acting for foreign political ideology:
https://www.draketo.de/politik/kommentare#gewaltkriminalitaet-gegen-juden-islamisten-rechtsextreme
And since the left in Germany is in favour of supporting refugees, that’s attributed to them ("you didn’t discriminate them as we do").

I think Apple's AI-powered notification summaries might have a few minor issues. 😂
Apparently, BSD Cafe has evolved from a community dedicated to BSD operating systems into a typical Italian restaurant serving traditional Italian cuisine.
The menu actually sounds pretty good, but I still haven't figured out how to book a jail for two. (Translation in the Alt Text).
