We're working on a bug fix release for the Camera app fixing many issues which have been around for years. Both Camera and Contacts also have experimental overhauls well under way. Gallery has a replacement in progress based on a fork of another app which we'll be changing a lot.
@GrapheneOS Thank you for improving the system applications. For the gallery, I use a replacement from FossofyOrg

One of the load-bearing UI features making Mastodon usable is the little "eye" in the corner. It unrolls all CWs in a thread at once. Coulda called attention to itself better, but it's critical.

Mastodon 5 it's just gone. No replacement. I wanted to link this thread I wrote on Bluesky, but like, I'm gonna have to explain to the Bluesky users how to unroll the posts and attachments. Can't just say "click eyeball"

@cwebber That's pretty cool, i see a lot of similarities with how i have been using i3wm then Sway for the last decade and a half, though of course there are important differences, but i do use named groups/workspaces and use rofi to switch to one or move a window to one. Though it doesn't really do the "empty space" thing as far as i know (windows/groups will take all the available space), but i never really wanted that. You might have tried it and maybe didn't like it, but if you didn't, i would encourage you, it's very good.
