The data does not lie.

Black women turned out at 94% Democratic. Black men at 77%. Every non-white voting bloc leaned Democratic by double digits. White men voted Republican at 61%. White women at 59%.

If you want a progressive agenda in this country, it must be acknowledged and respected, that it runs through Black folx.

Black women specifically.

Next up in Linux's initialization sequence is its harvesting of random numbers, in case you've got something to secure or want to have fun! In short this involves harvesting some initial sources of randomness.

Depending on build flags it 1st mixes in some uninitialized RAM. Then it feeds in randomness provided by the CPU (via a couple CPU-specific routines) a fixed number of times, followed by the configured UTS-name & commandline args. Then it might reseed or "credit" the entropy counter.

It’s amazing how much switching from Mona and lire to skyscraper helped my iOS battery. Previously catching up on everything took me from 100 to 49. Now I’m at 70.

Why the fuck were the fridges at blood banks connected the internet?

What bumbling fool would do such a thing?

good butt

@uecker i have heard the same and it’s why i asked in the first place

TS6010 looked promising, currently c23 seems to just say “the result is implementation defined” for the conversion both ways, which for what i’m doing (osdev, kernel) that’s probably good enough i think

and it also seems to mean that casting an address like char *ptr = (char *)0xE0000 is also IB, which eases me a bit w.r.t to the bits of acpi where i had to probe specific memory ranges

@cwebber @glyph @liberty Simonyi's intentional programming was also an attempt in this direction. IIUC, his Intentional Software company basically became a way of producing domain-specific languages, which are better than coding in a general-purpose language, but aren't all the way to natural language.

@lisamelton I'm worried about transfolks in WA. Things aren't looking good there 😕

This song is from my 2025 EP "Justice"
This EP was made within one 12 hour session from switching on the synths to releasing on bandcamp.

I think, given events over the pond, that it is highly appropriate to re-share AND if I sold just 100 copies of this I can trade in the main synth you hear for a much nicer one.

Don't wear a frown! 😁😁😁 #Music #independentmusic #electronicmusic @electronicmusic

And they deserve better than a shitty AI poster with a shitty alt description.

Thank goodness for women, people of color, and young people. 💪

@mastodonmigration My take: Most media and most social media are controlled by a billionaire. Don’t waste time trying to shame any billionaire-owned media, find a non-billionaire-owned media doing it well and help promote them. Will that be easy? No, but neither was what we did yesterday.
