@androcat yep

Waiting for the New York Times' sure-to-come second day headline:
"Analysis: Why the elections were actually bad for the Democrats"
You're funny, Dan
I’m reflecting on all the different types of people who won as Democrats tonight. Different genders, different races, different ethnicities, different sexual orientations. Differences in style and, to some degree, in substance. But all recognizably and clearly antifascist, pro-democracy, committed to pluralistic constitutional democracy, rule of law.
That commonality should not be taken for granted. It is the bedrock on which we can build a more just and livable country.
Best exceedance of expectations in a very long time, my USian friends. Thank you.
Please keep it up. There is much remediation.
I do just have to take note though, amongst all the progressive moves: Four governors are Indigenous or Black or Jewish or Latina Women Democrats. Some barriers are gettin' a good kicking down and about damn time.
To my fellow Americans, REMEMBER TONIGHT.
WHEN WE VOTE, WE WIN.
We have, for too long, remained complacent and unengaged. When good people's focus falters, evil hearts take charge and corruption reigns.
We cannot relax. We now must hold ALL our elected officials to account. We must be loud, we must persist, we must FIGHT until corruption and evil is eradicated. Not just from government, but from the corporate world, too!

Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
Every vote counts, but in Mississippi, what in the world?

In my experience, if people say they used genAI they're probably telling the truth unless the thing they're trying to convince you that they used genAI to make it is impressive in any way.
If they say they only used genAI a little bit that means the entire thing was shat out by genAI unless it's something like botnik where it's performance art driven by genAI (markov chains) being useless.
If they say there's no AI in it, it's like 1/10 odds that it's completely genAI and 9/10 odds that they're telling the truth.

@PamelaBarroway Thanks, Pam!
@heidilifeldman You bet! But it was truly a team effort everywhere. Thanks for all you do too! We worked together to get the 🟦🌊 we all deserved.
If only Mitch McConnell were alive to see this.
Utter coal on the tl tonite
Dr. Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed—peace be upon him—has won Michigan!
Susan Collins concedes.
Don’t let the door hit you, Senator.
So, it's an exciting night, but I want to talk about a couple smaller things from my home state of Missouri:
A big one, we voted down an Abortion Ban for the second time in 2 years.
Proposition A, which was an attempt by Republicans to do some redistricting, was struck down.
Missouri has the right to citizen led initiatives, we have used that to end the abortion ban, legalize Marijuana, raise the minimum wage, among many others. Republican law makers only needed a 60% margin to repeal them, but Amendment 6 demands 80% in both the House and the Senate, and it must come back to a vote. News Outlets are already reporting it has passed, giving Missourians more control over our own government.
I first met Suzanne Luther in a coffee house, when she started organizing her grassroots campaign, and I would see her around, in my favorite bookstore, handing out pamphlets at festivals, and several times knocking at my own door. I'm very proud to say she won her House of Representative Seat.
Feel free to share some wins of your own.
I just want everyone to know that Dove chocolate tastes way better than their soap.
