@ramsey Right?? Using the (imo) most-CYA & enterprise-friendly license that is still OSI-approved is a *choice.*

CoMaps at SotM España
State of the Map España happens 6/7 November in Madrid. Are you a local? Join and meet up with our contributor Matheus, who will be presenting about CoMaps (and bring some stickers!).
Hearing Apple devs complain about migrating to new APIs and gamedevs complain about engine upgrades makes me really glad the web platform has had almost no breaking changes… ever.
The original parts of HTML, CSS and JS from the 90s still work, even though we probably could benefit from undoing some of the bad parts. WebGL too (based on a 2007 standard).
The only notable broken part is Flash. Never officially part of the platform, but it was load-bearing regardless.
With an unusual number of mainline clergy running for Congress as Dems, mainline Protestants — long bitter rivals of evangelicals, who split from them around a century ago — are poised to (maybe) have their most impactful political moment in a generation. https://religionnews.com/2026/11/01/mainliners-are-having-a-moment-can-they-move-from-protest-to-political-power/
The privacy space needs our own John Oliver. Mostly cause I want to watch a team of talented comedians absolutely fucking roast Andy Yen.

America Votes: 'CEKEVPATIVG EDELDOA'
Since we don't know when we'll get any more new #StarTrek, Buu and I are going to watch what we have in our DVD collection. We're starting with #TheNextGeneration. I've seen the entire series a few times, but it's been a while and there's a lot I've forgotten. I'll share my thoughts as we go.

👇 This is what we are voting for today...
More tomorrow, but wishing you all a happy day of the dead from MIT building 16, which felt like a fitting location to continue @quinn’s yearly altar tradition.

Did you post this on the Big Tech platforms as well? If so, do let us know their URL's, so we can promote the call there as well. That's where we want the developers and content creators to come from ► to the Fediverse 🙏🏽😊
@wendyhk Yes, absolutely! Here are the most recent posts on Facebook:

My brother bought me a pair of string backed driving gloves for my birthday. I neither own a car, nor have a driving licence. He's teetotal, so I'll get him a bottle of brandy.
@fesshole
the gift of the magi?
Streamed animating SVGs in Friction. You may find it useful.
@jimmac I've been meaning to check out friction. It looks really good.

Fediverse
Hello there, original writer of the article, and the posts here.
I’ve been contributing to the fediverse for years now. Not only am I on Lemmy every single day, I’m on Mastodon. Gardiner (my partner in the site, he and run it together!) is well known for his support of the fedivers. Every video he makes goes to subscribeto.me
I explained elsewhere in this post why I share my posts as I do, but maybe just do a quick scroll through my profile here. You’ll see years of me sharing to this space.
Karma farmers gonna farm.
What exactly do you think I will do with this karma?
Got bowel cancer and ended up with a stoma. Its not that bad tbh but one thing I do really miss is the ability to pass wind. The satisfaction of letting rip a big fart, especially ones that make you laugh has gone forever. Cherish your farts people, each one is a precious gift.
@fesshole
You shouldn't be disgusted by farting, because car exhaust and cigarettes emit deadly fumes, yet you are ready to inhale them daily.
