Piefed web interface does stack comments if cross posted, so I’m guessing the poster isn’t bothering to cross post if it isn’t showing that way in Intersellar.

Like, I think I understand what you’re trying to say, but sarcastic people are frequently not actually a lot of fun to be around
@jalefkowit Many many years ago, I read something to the effect that sarcasm is the coward’s form of humor. I thought about it at length and added it’s the laziest form of humor. I’m not saying I never fall into it, but I try to do better.
Then more recently, we have “Schrödinger’s douchebag” to really put a point on the cowardly aspect.
Either bravely state your criticism seriously, or elevate your joke above sarcasm into satire.

Here’s how piefed handles it using the browser.

@alice And also the more global view provides advantages in things like spam and bot control. It's why Gmail has an inherent advantage for spam over running your own mail server (at considerable cost to privacy and exposure to centralized risks).
And my question is how difficult is it in a federated service to provide a sentinel network. The UCSD guys were using an unused network as a sort of 'network telescope' (https://www.caida.org/projects/network_telescope/) So I'm curious about similar approaches to monitoring bad actors in federated spaces.

@ai6yr Huh, my morning eyes read that as "Using AI to Plan bankruptcy Is Getting People Into Big Trouble" - but I guess they both work.

Oh my Gosh. Okay, this is me!
One creator I enjoy and follow on the Fediverse is Gardiner Bryant as his content is really enjoyable.
First off, thank you so much! Really appreciate you enjoying the articles we put out 😊 One think I might emphasize here though is that so far as the site goes, Gardiner and I are partners! This is one of my articles though (so I’m to blame for this appearing so often in your feed). In fact I’m 99.99% sure Gardiner doesn’t actually share his articles on Lemmy at all.
I’m sorry it appears like this. It used to annoy me back when I was regularly on Reddit, when a post was cross-posted to a different community I’d have to follow that link, read their description of the post, then follow the link then go back a few steps to start/join the discussion in that community. Since joining Lemmy and sharing here (it has been a long time!) I just went against that grain and posted in the communities it was relevant to, to give each community a space to chat about it.
I had no idea your app was showing it this way, or that how I was doing this was annoying anyone. I’ll just go back to the age old cross-post method instead, going forward. Interesting that your app shows it this way, the one I use seems to do that for me.
Sorry to annoy you! It won’t happen going forward :)

The plan does not include a mission similar to Apollo 8 or Artemis II.

Goodreads removed RSS and some people are asking for alternatives on Reddit; maybe worth pointing to BookWyrm and NeoDB?
Goodreads removed RSS and some people are asking for... #fediverse #goodreads #bookwyrm #neodb #rssfeeds
Both fediverse softwares that support user reviews for books, both have RSS support natively (no Piefed/Misskey bridge needed), and some comments also seem discontent with Amazon's mismanagement overall.
@Auster@thebrainbin.org Bookwyrm and NeoDB are both awesome alternatives to GoodReads, with NeoDB offering far more than just books.
The only downside is that Kindle directly integrates with GoodReads, I'm not sure there's been any independent efforts to integrate alternatives into e-readers.

Is there a way to not see duplicate of the same topic across different communities?
Hi everyone!
I’m really enjoying the Fediverse through Lemmy and Peertube.
One creator I enjoy and follow on the Fediverse is Gardiner Bryant as his content is really enjoyable.
Sadly he ´s the target of my post as he shares his content on many different communities that I follow.
Today I had 5 times the same topic on RetroDeck (great project too) on my feed on Lemmy (Voyager).
It is the same on PieFed (Interstellar).
This is really annoying and I haven’t found a way to not show these duplicates. Do you know about one or is it worked on?
Also when crossposting, it would be great if everything appeared under on post. Is it feasible?
Sorry if it’s easy and I just missed it. In a way I hope it is because it would mean that the Fediverse is festure rich😇
