@wordshaper Yeah, same here... I think the gas dryer needs to be replaced (1990's dryer, but it's on its last legs despite my replacing everything).
@ai6yr @wordshaper As long as it's nice out a clothes line works well.
@Dangerous_beans Imagine a boss fight against a guy whose primary characteristic is that he says this:
Look at them, they come to this place when they know they are not pure. Tenno use the keys, but they are mere trespassers. Only I, Vor, know the true power of the Void. I was cut in half, destroyed, but through it's Janus Key, the Void called to me. It brought me here and here I was reborn. We cannot blame these creatures, they are being led by a false prophet, an impostor who knows not the secrets of the Void. Behold the Tenno, come to scavenge and desecrate this sacred realm. My brothers, did I not tell of this day? Did I not prophesize this moment? Now, I will stop them. Now I am changed, reborn through the energy of the Janus Key. Forever bound to the Void. Let it be known, if the Tenno want true salvation, they will lay down their arms, and wait for the baptism of my Janus key. It is time. I will teach these trespassers the redemptive power of my Janus key. They will learn it's simple truth. The Tenno are lost, and they will resist. But I, Vor, will cleanse this place of their impurity.
@ben i hope that's delivered in appropriate scenery chewing grandiosity

Skimming through it, it doesn't seem to be as accessible for reviews though.

Yes! Also the December release of Catodon will support both Bookwyrm and NeoDB reviews. I know that people are looking for a suggestion for now, but we need a month (although it will come sooner in develop, in November).

Goodreads removed RSS and some people are asking for alternatives on Reddit; maybe worth pointing to BookWyrm and NeoDB?
Goodreads removed RSS and some people are asking for... #fediverse #goodreads #bookwyrm #neodb #rssfeeds
Both fediverse softwares that support user reviews for books, both have RSS support natively (no Piefed/Misskey bridge needed), and some comments also seem discontent with Amazon's mismanagement overall.

Hadn't seem. RIP.
Well, made a post elsewhere. Don't think anyone follows me there, but hopefully serves at least as a bump.

comment violates rule: Stay on-topic to the Goodreads app/website - Book recommendations, discussion about Goodreads alternatives or proposed improvements to Goodreads, surveys/school projects, and general discussion of reading as a hobby are all considered off-topic.
I don’t think the mods there are going to let you.

Maybe try Storygraph
@puzzled
Are you anticipating some drama?
@Trussell the majority of UCP delegates in the past have been separatists and Smith has kicked out one of their top leaders and declared the UCP is a federalist party so one would be highly surprised if there wasn't a tremendous amount of drama.
IMO if the UCP AGM doesn't descend into chaos then it is a good sign for Nenshi because that means they are more afraid of the NDP than they are enthusiastic about advancing their MAGA separatist agenda at all cost.
this is bonkers.
its some @Bellingcat level osint
I discovered a sound that leaks your exact location (and it's everywhere)
YouTube
@Viss Oh, I geolocated something for a Wyze camera contest using this method (airplane sounds). Manually, however.
Holy shit.
This guy takes a couple of minutes of audio from a security camera anywhere in the US, with no clues from the video whatsoever, and finds the exact spot where it was recorded.
How?
By correlating the Doppler curve sounds from two almost inaudible planes passing by with public ADS-B flight data.

I think this is the #OSINT video of the year.

@scy why are there always planes flying by to provide reference points?
saw someone say something along the lines of "I'm a very kinky person myself, therefore it's ridiculous to accuse me of kink shaming"
and uhm
no, that's not how that works
I really don't want to drop off my ballot tonight since it probably won't be counted until Wednesday anyway at this point, but if I don't I'll have to remember tomorrow before work, ugh.
@SRLevine For the sake of everyone, tonight is better.

Anyone have strong (researched?) opinions on California Proposition 37?
It's the home loan/mortgage one.
I think I've otherwise got the propositions sorted thanks to the calmatters quiz thingy + their summaries of supporters and who is funding yes/no: https://calmatters.org/california-voter-guide-2026/propositions/quizzes/
@Cheeseness oh what a lovely, generous thing to do! 💚
@SallyMonster I do what I can ^_^
