Oh my Gosh. Okay, this is me!
One creator I enjoy and follow on the Fediverse is Gardiner Bryant as his content is really enjoyable.
First off, thank you so much! Really appreciate you enjoying the articles we put out 😊 One think I might emphasize here though is that so far as the site goes, Gardiner and I are partners! This is one of my articles though (so I’m to blame for this appearing so often in your feed). In fact I’m 99.99% sure Gardiner doesn’t actually share his articles on Lemmy at all.
I’m sorry it appears like this. It used to annoy me back when I was regularly on Reddit, when a post was cross-posted to a different community I’d have to follow that link, read their description of the post, then follow the link then go back a few steps to start/join the discussion in that community. Since joining Lemmy and sharing here (it has been a long time!) I just went against that grain and posted in the communities it was relevant to, to give each community a space to chat about it.
I had no idea your app was showing it this way, or that how I was doing this was annoying anyone. I’ll just go back to the age old cross-post method instead, going forward. Interesting that your app shows it this way, the one I use seems to do that for me.
Sorry to annoy you! It won’t happen going forward :)
@iamdavidobrien @beep all done by hand: no macos here! But you should enjoy that OS and its releases.

(Honestly typing a thing backwards when autocorrect doesn’t want you to is SO ANNOYING and I am worried I have permanently polluted the correction dictionary, which already thinks “and’s” is a thing despite every single attempt to convince it otherwise)

Is there a way to not see duplicate of the same topic across different communities?
Hi everyone!
I’m really enjoying the Fediverse through Lemmy and Peertube.
One creator I enjoy and follow on the Fediverse is Gardiner Bryant as his content is really enjoyable.
Sadly he ´s the target of my post as he shares his content on many different communities that I follow.
Today I had 5 times the same topic on RetroDeck (great project too) on my feed on Lemmy (Voyager).
It is the same on PieFed (Interstellar).
This is really annoying and I haven’t found a way to not show these duplicates. Do you know about one or is it worked on?
Also when crossposting, it would be great if everything appeared under on post. Is it feasible?
Sorry if it’s easy and I just missed it. In a way I hope it is because it would mean that the Fediverse is festure rich😇

@cwebber I've termed it "the trashing of the commons". Sigh.

Hello,
Thank you for posting those aricles. I wouldn’t worry too much about crossposting, as you can see from the comments, there are apps and other software that deals with this better, so you shouldn’t refrain too much.
Folks, please share the link for our Fediverse Multimedia Grants.
We have funding for creators to make podcasts, artist's portfolios, webcomics, music stores, video streams, or brand new kinds of channels here. And we pay developers to help them be successful.
Our deadline is Wed 4 Nov 2026. It only takes a few minutes to apply.

@jalefkowit there’s also some tricks in the parts you use, plus today is the day that Peoject Aces took away Shadow 22’s Costco sized flare dispenser
@flyingsaceur WHAT. Did I just finally get past it yesterday because they nerfed the damn thing
update!: I'm told this is likely a temporary thing 🪩
wait I'm pissed off, IASA took their technical publications (TC-04, TC-05) offline. I was building an *open* syllabus around these!!! Does anyone know what's up with that?
@ashley I can confirm, it's a temporary thing while website migration is in progress.

@mastodonmigration @mathaetaes Oh no, bummer!
@d_rift Then there's the Scots English 'a' ending canna...
@dancingtreefrog it's great how many subtle pronunciation things 'c' is doing across these as well.
Sorry, the app encountered an unexpected error
