@ai6yr @mathaetaes

Yeah, it is not going to work. The glue is not waterproof, and there is no way to stop the water penetration. Same reason you need to use marine plywood for anything outdoors.

@neil Ooh thank you, I've not seen these either, might have to try one

Finally you can buy a phone that at least tries to be ethical – for both workers and planet – in the USA!

The @Fairphone Gen. 6+ is the first one to be sold in the US, so Wirecutters has reviewed it. They seem to like it: https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/fairphone-6-plus-review/

And you can install a degoogled Android on it!

@faraiwe i mean, I wouldn't be surprised. They eventually started eating the Carolina Reapers and plants LAST year (before we put up Fort Knox)

Poking around a little bit... This looks like an important blogpost for me to read!

It'll help teach me how to implement Alonzo...

@georgetakei Why does she look like she's wearing someone else's face?

@ai6yr unless they , too, become addicted to spicy delish.

@jwz

It's not empty, it has a search box, so it is needed for the search box.

Because the search box can't be on the header. Or in the footer. Or in the first column.

It has to have a dedicated column, because nobody anywhere does it, and no user anywhere would think it is a good idea.

@the_etrain
I caused a gigantic fight in my family one year when I asked a dear old aunt to stop emailing her emails of inspiration that always included at the bottom of the page, some horrible threat of loss of life if you didnt forward that email onward.

@ChrisPirillo it would be much nicer and more attractive without a slop picture

The Lisp Game Jam is happening, and yes, @spritely is participating again this year! https://itch.io/jam/autumn-lisp-game-jam-2026

The Lisp Game Jam is a no-genAI-permitted game jam.

If you want to get started, may I recommend Spritely's Hoot? We even have a game jam template with a mini-breakout game for you to try https://codeberg.org/spritely/hoot-game-jam-template

Have fun! Look forward to seeing what you make, no matter how big or small!

@GoingDownWithSundial That sounds awful :(

But if it is nevertheless an improvement, yay!

@cwebber For people who complained the pods were not giving them enough roughage

@faraiwe 😂 Well, maybe it will keep the rats and squirrels out for a few months.
