Ghostbusters 2 deserved better. Like at least a little better.
Just had a trick or treater wearing the periodic table. This is my favorite costume in years.
She said last year she was a quadratic equation.
I said and next it'll be an integral (oops. I skipped derivative but, well, quadratic equation kind of has that covered), then differential, and then partial differential, and then she'll have to be in grad school by then.

Do you know who took the second photograph? I want to repost but with proper credit if possible
This is apparently the art studio that made the 6-story Catrina:
What stopped Trump last time? Right, the Chairman of the Join Chiefs of staff saying "naw, we ain't doing that."
And Trump was left with the Chud rush.
So if you're asking me - is Trump going to give the order to do Hitler shit if and when his party loses? YES, by GODS YES he will give that order.
What I don't know is who is answering the phone. Last time? It was nobody.
@AnarchoNinaWrites isn't that why kegseth has been busy purging the military leadership?

Happy Halloween 🎃
My Saturday schedule is packed with non-Halloween household tasks. We hope to see more trick o treaters this evening, since it's a Saturday.
I'll be offline almost the whole day, getting my to-do list checked off! Tomorrow, I will be online more - no grueling tasks on tomorrow's schedule 👍
Halloween day, quick update. I'll be back online tomorrow 🎃
Finished my household chores to-do list.
Put two flying ghosts up in our front yard tree.
Warming up by woodstove as family chicken dinner is cooking in the oven.
Continuing our family Halloween movies marathon.
Have a fun, safe & spooky Halloween night ✌️👻🧙♀️😱

@computerchronicles Roger Moore at least had the kind of cheerful camp you need to put over that sort of goofy bullshit. Daniel Craig's more po-faced Bond made that a harder sell
@jalefkowit Only one of the Craig films I saw was "Casino Royale." Enjoyed it okay, but I'm not the target audience for 2000s "dark and gritty" action films. I'm definitely in the Roger more camp. 😛
Completely unrelated, but a Film Nerd Nitpick: that opening sequence from SPECTRE sure looks like a single long take, which would have been an insanely impressive feat to pull off, which is why it bummed me out to discover that they kind of faked it

@jalefkowit your comment immediately made me think of 1917, and I looked it up, both directed by Mendes
After five years, @rek and I recorded a new video for Hundred Rabbits in which we talk about some of the changes we've made to Pino since our return from Japan, based on the lessons we learned sailing the Pacific Ocean.

@onan What online chat tool do True Believers in the Church of the Subgenius use? It would have to be Slack, right? 😆
@strypey the SubGenius will use any and all tools to spread the word of J. R. “Bob” Dobbs!
Slackware, the first self-contained Linux distribution, was named in honor of SubGenius.
do you use mastodon/bluesky/micro.blog just on a mobile device, or do you use it on a desktop computer too? tablet? what platform?
do you use a client app like Tapestry? or Ivory?
@isaiah Mastodon - mostly on the web on desktop. if I check it on mobile, then @IceCubesApp, but that's mostly when I get a notification.
Bluesky - also mostly on the web via bsky.app (sometimes mu.social or Witchsky), but also much more on mobile (iPhone), the official iOS app.

If you run across his work, listen to Winston Grennan. He was part of Marley's band (drummer if I remember correctly) for a while, and later worked up his own music. I had the blessing of knowing him personally the few years before his death. A good man with a lot of good things to say. I'd suggest "Wash-Over Gold" as a starting album.
also, in the 60s/70s, lots of "concept" albums, where you really should listen to the whole album at once in order.
@paul_ipv6 @W6KME @jpaskaruk Yep, learning all that. I think the streaming/single track world nowadays... didn't understand that. I grew up with CDs, but even then, the track order was less important (or at least, not obvious).
(the one exception was the Tom Petty CD I had with the break between where the LP sides would have been!)
