@aral I think we're talking about a republic (US), a constitutional monarchy (UK), and a former dictatorship/republic (Venezuela). All of which are plutocratic oligarchies, but yeah they market themselves differently

It's really more that the oligarchs and billionaires use that kind of transgression to show that they don't need to bend to social norms and rules.
That used to be expressed by not wearing suits to formal events and this is just the continuation. It's "fuck you, that's why" as a fashion statement.

@mdiluz Same plan as with the rest of the companies: grift and grab as much money as possible until the economy crashes and hope that on the other side there is a dip to buy and not too many guillotines.
