Those were the days...
New X11 server, New portable package manager, no more Steam Deck LCD - Linux Weekly News
I hate how much work it is to operate internet-facing services these days too but for fuck's sake people you need to learn what watchdogs, ulimits, and load balancers are _before_ you expose something publicly. if you want to help the open source community sign up to actually add features that add meaningful security, don't just pray and spray ReDoS from your LLM.

I used to just… not vote. Didn’t like the people running but they were all mostly the same in my eyes. “Do I want this rich old white dude or that rich old white dude”
I didn’t even bother.
Then a rich old white dude came around that was actually measurably worse than the other rich old white dudes. So I had to start voting against him.
It sucks. I want to go back to not caring.
@user21t
I think that this software may be art, but the tools that dependencies are not.
And I would appreciate efforts to do this dependencies human made when is possible.
And if the software wants to be "community" software, this is a need to be fully independent on LLMs and be human.

I think you would like to check this list:

I recommend reading sections: Programming Languages and Social Media.

irregular verbs in english are weird
like, not even the fact that they exist, but rather how they interact with word formation
look at this list in wiktionary, there seems to be a general rule that if you add a prefix or another root to an irregular verb, it stays irregular -- "beget" and "forget" turn into "begot" and "forgot", "broadcast" remains "broadcast", and so on
and yet some of the more modern words don't work like that
"highlight" doesn't turn into "highlit", but "highlighted"
"screenshoot" doesn't turn into "screenshot" as a past tense verb, but "screenshooted"
@EndlessMason sorta, basically I have columns for the days of the week with classes like day-0, day-1, etc. and then a CSS rule that's just:
day-<?date("w")?> { background: yellow; }
@EndlessMason this was for a thing that I used for my "daily website checks" thing that I don't actually use anymore and it's easier for me to just stop using it because everything I follow either has an RSS feed or is sufficiently transitory that I don't actually care about keeping up with it

It used to snow in Colorado on the Front Range around this time of year.
It has not this year. I don’t think it will either.

There was a stat last year about Colorado. It was the first year in history that every single Denver Broncos home football game was higher than 60°.

Oh, div class=is-visible-tuesday?
