Woke up, still super pissed off about BC snap election results. Still cussing Eby for screwing over BCers before quitting as leader. Eby should have been ousted as leader in 2020 or should have learned to work better with BC Green party for better government. His arrogance & BC NDP caucus cowardice led him to a massive self owned loss. A piss poor political decision that handed the Conservatives a majority BC government.
Less than 50% of registered voters showed up to vote. My riding flipped to Conservatives. Saanich South now has a Conservative Mayor & MLA. Rishi Sharma ran as a Liberal in past federal election but had since changed to Conservative.
Many provincial ridings flipped to Conservatives 😣 I'm in political mourning.
LD may be more progressive than the MapleMAGAs he's surrounded by but he's still a BC Conservative - we know full well it's a party full of bigots. Don't even try tell us that they're not bigots when several of us POC & several of us disabled/otherwise marginalized folks in BC have multiple personal experiences with Conservatives bigotry & their hateful politics 😡 Don't tell us to be happy that people who want us deported/dead/imprisoned are back in power again. We are sad/upset/frustrated/anxious. We remember how cruel BC Liberals were towards marginalized folks & how they had no respect for environment too. We're expecting the worse to come.
It's only a matter of time before the leopards start eating LD's face/they turn on each other/infighting for power starts up again. Conservatives always flip on each other.
It's only thing that brings me any ray of hope for BC, on a depressing post election Sunday morning.
This dismal snap election result is all goddamn arrogant Eby’s fault. #BCNewDeathParty killed itself.
I haven't looked at any news yet this morning. I'll take my blood pressure before & after reading news. Just out of curiosity.

Blind faith in a leader who claims to speak for the people and calls for action with no room for doubt.
Appeals to fear or mainly disgust toward those marked as different while constructing enemies seen as both strong and weak.
Praise for tradition and rejection of modernity, glorifying life as permanent struggle in which the weak have no place.
It's probably fascism and it does get clicks, likes and votes. No need to wait for salutes, it's already fascism.
@augustus I have considered vibe coding a total libre replacement that can be loaded with custom assets. it's not that complicated of an app it's creating all the content and it would happily be populated with an actually good japanese lesson plan if I did it.

We should have more agnostics and atheists in office as a sign of critical thinking skills are in order to be honest. As a christian who’s deconstructed, I trust no politician who’s ever been a pastor. I trust republicans less of course, but religion is only useful as therapy for poor and history-uneducated, like I used to be, in my opinion.

In #Munich, you might see (and hear, feel) this weird machine, making weird vibration and sound sweeps. This is part of the Giga-M project. Its goal is to create a detailed 3D map of the underground in Munich and surrounding areas (in total 1100 square kilometres) that will be made available as #OpenData to assist in planning geothermic plants.
