Yes. FreeSound is my standard go-to source these days. Years ago, though, I had a tougher time finding sources, and some of these old archives are from that period.
One can also find some things by searching Internet Archive or Wikimedia Commons. With FreeSound, it's easy to search by license (CC-0/PD, CC By, CC By-SA, etc).
Hated the Lib Dems for going into coalition with the Tories. Friends bought me a membership as a joke. 15 years on I've been a Lib Dem councillor for years. Petrified someone will discover my origin story.

@scanlime Thank you. Broken... and Fixed?
@zepfanman cheers :)
Weekly reminder that megacorporations like Amazon are ruining the world, and you can instead support small independent businesses that make cool things like today's Low Quality Ad, this Galaxy in a Jar Pin.

@lowqualityfacts If I could keep time in a bottle, then I could keep space in a jar. Anyone want a can of gravity?
Oh dang, Jeffrey Cranor from Welcome to Night Vale is gonna be a guest at my improv theater next week.

Okay, what you explained does make sense, but not in the context of a federation event (as far as I understand, which could very well be wrong).
If B’s server sends the full response along, then C can see the contents of A’s post even though they’ve been blocked by A.
Sure, but this would only be needed if a user needs permission or something to view a post. They don’t, a post is (always, afaik?) public.
Besides, federation is not on a user level, but on an instance level. It doesn’t matter if user A has blocked user B. As long as just one person on user A’s instance does not have user B blocked, events and metadata will need to be federated. So, for public federated services, I don’t think it makes any sense to use this kind of access control.
