@randulo the good ole times of PHP3 <3
when nobody even thought of security ;)
@Skoop Also, I made a page to sell my CDs using the bank's API and when we hired someone who knew what he was doing he pointed out how easy it would be to hack into it.

I worry that some intrenched political animals in the Democratic party are more wary of going after these kinds of easier to understand and more provable financial crimes since it means cleaning their own house to some extent too.
Going after the source of a bribe might lead to some pillar of the community who has also on occasion helped a Democrat.
Sacrifices must be made. Purify your own and then the public will trust you to clear your enemies too.

@futurebird the biggest thing I need to see from dems is plugging all the shit that allowed this abuse. All this has shown that our checks and balances aren't worth shit
I love so much that this lady is getting her fifteen minutes

@nixCraft I didn't know cyber corrispondents existed until today. 🤷
“On day one, all of the men went around and introduced themselves to the group, telling everyone their ‘stats,’ meaning their height, weight and penis size. They also shared their ‘blackpill moment,’ a looksmaxxing term for when someone realizes that looks matter more than anything when interacting with women or getting ahead in the world. Clavicular and fellow looksmaxxing influencer Hexumlite, the camp's other co-creator, urged the men to be honest and not sugarcoat their answers.
“For the remaining days, the men, all in their 20s and late teens, went clubbing, saw presentations on jaw surgery and ran door-to-door sales for an online casino sponsoring the camp, trying to get strangers in a Los Angeles neighborhood to start betting on the website; Clavicular has signed a long-term deal with the casino for an undisclosed sum.”
Oh hey the new snake in the grass field guide just dropped.
Men have managed to objectify themselves and falsify their genetics.
it would be nice to put diode zone behind an interactive bot challenge like https://anubis.techaro.lol/ but that will break a bunch of peertube i'm sure

Am I also a chode or does my chosen instance absolve me of my crimes of wanting to see the USA crumble?
Yes, you are a chode.

The story of the Ascension of Our Lord Church in Philadelphia isn't exactly a happy one, but it does a good job of illustrating why churches close and the tragic fate that often awaits them afterwards. https://www.abandonedamerica.us/ascension-of-our-lord
@AbandonedAmerica thank you for putting these pictures and histories out for folks who wouldn't see or know them otherwise.

My explanation of the big 3 BSD's use case:
FreeBSD is what you want when you want the most compatible / up to date / most software.
OpenBSD is what you want when you have an older Thinkpad and feel superior without having much software (minimalist), you also don't play games if they aren't called NetHack.
NetBSD is what you want when you hate AI and are okay with using older hardware and not as much software as FreeBSD but want to run it on all your hardware.

this is how you engagement farm, well done
Type 2 also includes the “why’s it taking so long? Look at all these people suffering through the collapse. We need to make it collapse faster so we get to the good part faster” people, without acknowledging that this is what collapse looks like: lots of suffering
One side started war with iran while other side didn’t
One side destroyed relationship with strongest allies for nothing while other side didn’t.
One side went to war with people on the streets with ICE and lowered recruitment requirements while other side didn’t.
One side gave us Pete Hegseth while otherside didn’t.
One side started tariff war for nothing while other side didn’t.
Both sides same though I guess?

Perspective.
I double-checked, and this is 100% accurate for the US. In 1988, Ronald Reagan signed the Women's Business Ownership Act, which required banks in every state to allow women to apply for business loans by themselves.
I know progress feels slow, and it is, but this just wasn't that long ago. I'm an elder millennial, and my mom talks about not being able to apply for credit, etc. without my dad in the early 70s.
But the bus driver supports genocide. The whole bus is rotten.
You ever notice how the ‘burn it down’ people fall into two camps?
Abstaining from voting is just a vote to let others choose for you. It does not exempt you from the system.

There should be an option at the post office to opt out of any/all advertisements. Ive thrown away at least 100 pounds of useless mail i havent even opened because its like “Use our credit card! Vote for the Nazis! The person who wants free healthcare did one bad thing in 2006, but its actually totally reasonable in context! Remember 4 years ago when you tried a food service? Do it again!”
I think paper usage would go down at minimum 10 tons if this type of mail was outlawed
In some European countries we can put stickers on the mailbox which indicates if you want to receive ads or magazines (like from shops with discounts). It gets mostly respected afaik.
