So is AWS gonna push a php update, or are we just YOLO-ing it now?
Amazon just pushed out 2023.12.20261021 but it does *not* fix CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 so that's cool, cool. No hurry, guys. https://explore.alas.aws.amazon.com
Italian government to deploy troops to Milan after anti-austerity protests - BT News
Before the Moog, there was a basement in Brattleboro, Vermont.
In the 1950s, Harald Bode while working for Estey Organs, developed a modular sound system there that helped inspire Bob Moog.
In 2015, Wendy M. Levy wrote this article on Bode and 10 years later that inspired this Saturday's Circuits in the Woods electronic music festival.

A university course is currently trying out Pixelfed
A few weeks ago, we started noticing a number of applications on pixelfed.ca, where the user would say that they needed to register for a course. I don’t have full confirmation, but I’m fairly certain that this is a legitimate wave of signups from students at a Canadian university.
I’m sharing this post for a few reasons:
Personally, I’m excited that people are trying out Pixelfed and using it in coursework like this. If you are one of the students, now seeing this post, welcome! :) I hope that the project goes well, and that you have a pleasant experience on the platform. Feel free to share any and all feedback.
You might be seeing similar looking posts from different accounts on your feed. My guess is that the course has specific requirements and example templates. However, there’s also plenty of real content (ex. artwork, photography, etc.), so I don’t think it’s going to be disruptive
As always, you can report inappropriate content through the UI. For urgent issues, please email us at support@pixelfed.ca. You can also DM admin@lemmy.ca as there is overlap with our Pixelfed and Lemmy team members.
And some spiders, why not?

@Cheeseness I especially enjoy the picture of the one in the leaves.
Hey, this episode is a bit special so I wanted to write a little note under: it mirrors the second episode of the Avian Intelligence series https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/miniFantasyTheater/028.html and it punishes this scholar with a snake tatoo who scanned the research of Cepper in the previous episode against her consent.
I'm preparing a book with the Avian Intelligence series, and this mirroring effect is for the logic of ending the book (but this episode is not the end, next one will be my conclusion... for the book 1).
@davidrevoy I mean, to be fair, "summoning a fireball" sounds quite similar to "becoming a fireball."
And so after half a year of frustrated digging, flooding, re-digging, and dead ends, the dwarves of Wealth Dunes return to their senses and cease their aimless drive towards the deepest parts of the earth. Contented with the wealth of iron, silver, and coal that they have uncovered. Becoming a desert oasis of weaponsmiths and warriors.
@rockario Is that you retiring a fort?

For the fifth fucking time, this is not the same thing .

The dwarves have dug to the bottom of the world and found not the they were seeking platinum.
Do I dig deeper, recklessly?
Basically all of the people concerned about the ways invasive ad tech would abuse consumers were absolutely right.
