Just to state really clearly what is going here.
The New York Times is leading an information warfare operation to mislead the public that Chuck Schumer has the votes, and is the inevitable next Majority Leader.
This is not the case. Schumer has significant and growing opposition both from new and incumbent Senators.
We have see the New York Times use this disinformation tactic many times before.
Do not be misled.

Seriously if a company sells out to private equity they should be required to notify all customers and affected parties immediately.
It's basically pirates taking over the ship.

@ai6yr WHAT!?!
***I wonder if that is even enforceable in a contract. If you don't stab yourself with a sword, do they send in crypto ninjas? 🤔
Domicile lets you build your desktop in React and CSS, with Manganese being included as the ready-made tiling option.
Ah yes the AIs will end the world alright, evidently by encouraging the entire software profession to just give up at doing anything resembling professional coding practices
One of my first jobs in SF was tailoring jeans for Self Edge on Valencia St. I loved the work and learned so much. Today is their huge 20th anniversary party and it was great seeing old friends.
If you bought a pair of jeans from Self Edge in those early years, I hemmed them on our 100 year old Union Special. I loved the work, but moved on to a new career as a lead game designer, which is a whole other story. Photo by Andrew Ng.

Aaron Swartz was a digital rights champion who believed in the need for an open internet.
His life was cut short in 2013,
after federal prosecutors charged him under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) for systematically downloading academic journal articles from the online database JSTOR.
Facing the prospect of a long and unjust sentence, Aaron died by suicide at the age of 26.
Join us to celebrate the legacy of Aaron Swartzon Nov. 8, 2026.
With the organizers of Aaron Swartz Day, we’re honoring his life with an in-person and remote hackathon.
This event is supported by several organizations that carry on his work, including the Internet Archive
—which is hosting the in-person event
—the Freedom of the Press Foundation, Creative Commons and the Free Law Project.

He missed the mea culpa for the four of them on the pod and their friends celebrating the idea of Anthropic and OpenAI destroying the livelihoods of America’s wage earners so they could get even richer.
@carnage4life It's *nearly* as though leaving more money with these ghouls every single year hasn't grown the economy or led to widespread propserity ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
