@mcc As I understand it, they are close to the inverse of each other.
Thinking in terms of what triggers what:
"AfterTargets" will trigger the target you're defining when _they_ are built, but you can build the target you're defining without triggering them.
"DependsOnTargets" are triggered before the target _you're defining_ is built, but your target won't always be triggered if they are.
@sundew OK. In that case, is BeforeTargets different from DependsOnTargets
Motorola has announced their new high end flagship phone including upcoming official support for GrapheneOS as an OS option.
Motorola Signature 27 will be the first Motorola device supported by GrapheneOS. More devices will be supported in the future.
@GrapheneOS For nearly 2000 Euros? Hard pass.

I'm interested in RCV. Could you please share a reference for your first claim?
@mpjgregoire It was an article on FairVote.org. I don't recall which exactly and I'm on a phone atm.

So I feel like this has happened to me nine times, in three different build systems, and I'm so tired.
We have an MSBuild project. It has targets A,B,C,D. Target D has an AfterTargets="A;B;C" in its xml.
When we run the project, we visibly see in the output window that the targets run in the order C;D;A;B. Moreover, the output of D is incorrect, as if D had been run without A and B having run first.
Why. Why. Why. Why. Why.
How do I convince MSBuild to do what I tell it to.
Related questions which I do not expect you to have an answer to.
1. Is this relevant? I think no, because it relates to MSBuild being told to build multiple project files in parallel, and our current problem concerns targets run potentially in parallel?
https://github.com/dotnet/msbuild/issues/11784
2. There's a <ZipDirectory> task in MSBuild. We in fact want our MSBuild to create a zip. But we want a 0-compression zip, which ZipDirectory lacks as an option.
How would you attack this problem? Must work on WIndows
*rubbing eyes* in MSBuild, what is the difference between DependsOnTargets and AfterTargets? Isn't that the same thing?

Is it time for the vice president to call section 4 of the 25th amendment? (Yes, I am aware this only succeeds with a two-thirds supermajority vote in BOTH the House Of Representatives and the Senate).

Today's Low Quality Ad is for this Build-on Brick Coffee Mug. It's a neat idea, but think how much it hurts stepping on a Lego. And then imagine how much it would hurt to step on a Lego AND spill piping hot coffee on yourself.

Poll results: 66% of Jewish Americans say Israel & Aipac are driving antisemitism.
And 80% say the same of "Israel’s actions in the occupied West Bank & Gaza".
In addition, 60% say that Jewish organisations that label criticism of Israel as "antisemitic" do it to defend unpopular Israeli policies.
72% supported Democratic candidates, & 76% supported sanctions against “violent West Bank settlers”.

Alright, let's smoke some crack and figure out what this Stephen Miller appointment means.
Right now in the White House we have the Yarvinist faction led by Thiel's pet, Vance. They dream of a tech oligarchy and want to break the US into fiefdoms, each ruled by a CEO king.
Then we have the Christofascists like Hegseth, who want to turn the US into a theocratic white ethnostate.
There's also the white supremacists, which is Miller's gang. They vibe with the Yarvinists and Christofascists.
