I have too, !mtf@lemmy.blahaj.zone, !trans@lemmy.blahaj.zone, and !asktransgender@lemmy.blahaj.zone are some really nice ones. Most of what I’ve seen weren’t bad communities or even bad posts, it was users commenting under posts, sometimes their own, sometimes other people’s. Some weren’t even in communities related to LGBTQ, but it came up and they were talking about it. Most of the users had the @lemmy.world extension but a few were lemmy.ml, and a few others too.

@lowqualityfacts Dario Amodei is now creaming on sight of this post. It really demonstrates that you can invent some shit out of thin air and the laws of nature will come together to make it true because you have an unbelievable fashionable bad hair.

Electric truck startup Harbinger has raised 240M USD in a Series D co-led by Tiger Global, Capricorn's impact fund and defence investor Ridgeline, pushing total funding past 650M USD. FedEx has ordered 2,000 trucks worth over 300M USD. The Los Angeles firm has bought autonomy startup Phantom AI and is building a driverless platform for the military. https://techcrunch.com/2026/11/05/harbinger-raises-240m-after-expanding-into-defense/ #Tech #Startup #News #DefenseTech

and 2501, of course

@thestrangelet hey, haven't told you yet...congrats!!!

Gonna start a band just called “random noun”

With Texas turning blue, you may as well get gay married now before the govment forces you to

Everything on the fediverse really depends on where you go. That’s kinda the whole point.

This post is written on https://normals.me and delivered to !fediverse@lemmy.world over #ActivityPub, so if you are reading it the basic plumbing works. Now let me explain what is this.

Normals is a forum with communities, threads, and questions with an accepted answer. It is a single instance, not software you can host, and the core is closed for anti-abuse reasons. The federation module will be published separately with implementation notes (FEP-67ff).

What federates today Every community is a Group actor following the Lemmy model (FEP-1b12). Follow @selfhosted@normals.me or any other community from Lemmy, PieFed, Mbin or Mastodon.

Posts and comments go both ways. Replies from your instance appear in the thread on Normals, replies from Normals go back to the origin.

Remote content is labelled with its origin, links back to it, and is never copied. Media loads from the source.

Signed fetches, so it works with instances that require authorized fetch. NodeInfo 2.1 is up.

Policies, in case they matter to you, it has no ads, and no paid reach, and of course no AI training on posts. AI crawlers blocked by default, public mod log with reasons, and no automated removals. Numbers at https://normals.me/transparency so please take a look.

If something from your instance shows up wrong here, or something from here shows up wrong on yours, reply with the URL and I'll fix it. Andy Piper mentioned NodeBB uses the same group model, if anyone runs a NodeBB instance I'd like to test against it, if possible.

I hope we all have fun. Cheers!

I only saw one Mod who was for it and he wasn’t even using his mod powers to push it, he was just pushing transphobia apologia and happened to be a mod in a different community. He got banned quickly from the community he did it in by the way. Glad he did, I’m sure he would’ve kept going if they didn’t. Though I do regret posting to his community. I might make a post addressing it later in !trans@lemmy.blahaj.zone so people know to steer clear of those communities.

Yeah I haven’t seen any mods who are for it, granted OP is on discuss.online and I have defederated a lot of hate instances. People on beehaw, lemmy.world, and quite a few others have been if anything overly accepting than not. However, it’s why I discourage browsing all and instead curating a list of communities.

"Hola a todos, soy nuevo por aquí. Me interesa debatir y aprender sobre sistemas de #Calefacción, y ahorro en el hogar. ¡Un saludo!"#

@jalefkowit @bstacey @McSquank I think it was Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead who watched over us.

He died in December 2015, and the world turned to shit afterwards.

It’s true, but it’s not obvious if you’re new to the fediverse, since until now the closest we’ve had to decentralized communities online is Usenet and that’s only familiar to you if you’re been online for 30 years or more.

I think it depends on where you go. I’ve seen lots of supportive behaviour across the fediverse.

This is funny. But there's of course the serious point: These people have shown us who they are. It cannot be remotely safe to have so complete a moral vacuum at the helm of such powerful tech and commanding such immense wealth. We knew this anyway, but we know it so much more now.

@mcc Oh, well, it has some relevant feelings-about-democracy bits.

Though that's really _far_ less important than the extremely badass thief-and-conartist woman you get to meet, after getting teased by vague mentions of her existence for the two previous books.

Maybe there is a lesson there in what I should be spending my brain cycles on.

@aurynn this is amazing, i love this so much for you.

things change, the way we regard things change, maybe you won't be able to pinpoint why until a few more months have passed. Different vantage points.
