If you’re in the #USA 🇺🇸

#Elections are just around the corner:

Please Vote TUESDAY NOVEMBER 3.

This mid-term election is the most important one, so every vote matters.

Especially yours.

It may be inconvenient. There might be long lines. Please make a plan that gets you to the booth anyway. Despite the lines, despite the hassle. Despite all the barriers they put in your way.

Vote BECAUSE of all the barriers they put in your way.

Please Vote.

As long as switching means starting over, challenger social apps can't compete with the dominant platforms.

We joined Europe's builders to ask Brussels for one structural change: let people take their identity, content and network with them, by giving every account a personal data server

This is a hell of an indictment of LLM-generated database that fails to adhere to basic rules of logic and arithmetic, let alone reliably storing data.

@slothrop this one is Yahoo Finance themselves, who are reasonably normal

@paul Yes.

@dansup @evan there has to be a music thing we can all link up on now. I’m down to explore.

@0xabad1dea Draw me like one of your French girls.

@Peace Respectfully, the difference between Freedom of Speech and Expression is not semantics.

There is no side - if you're Canadian, you're bound to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

It does not protect hate speech, where Freedom of Speech in the US does.

This is a very strong line and has been tested in the Supreme Court.

What Danielle wants to do will end up in court and be defeated... as always.

@medvedych @n0icz

@mosgaard I started out on Gnome and then I switched a little bit back and forth between KDE and Gnome and ended up on KDE. But I still eye Gnome from time to time. It's really nice in a lot of ways.

What was you experience like? Did you use the built-in messaging? Did you feel that it respected your data privacy enough?

If you maintained one, did you have any major issues or concerns?

I’d love to have an alternative to fb marketplace but nothing seems to be as user-friendly to get people using it. I would love to eventually start a server if it is doable for a semi-capable person.
