Look at your computer mouse.
Flip it over.
The mouse lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot office fluorescent lights, beating its wheel trying to turn itself over, but it can’t, not without your help.
But you’re not helping.
Why aren't you helping?

The device tree spells out how far: the Ethernet controller isn't enabled, a single HDMI output rather than the Model B's dual micro HDMI, the analogue audio pins empty, microSD only. Weber's caveat is the fair one: everything comes from device tree files rather than an official spec sheet, so mileage may vary.
Prices and dates are still nowhere. Hackster again: Raspberry Pi "had not made any formal announcements regarding the new models," with nothing by way of a launch date or pricing yet.
You can spot the next one yourself: watch the pull requests on the Raspberry Pi kernel repository, because these files landed there before anyone announced anything.
The press release comes later. The source code already shipped.
The Next Raspberry Pi Leaked Inside Linux's Own Source Code...
The next two Raspberry Pis leaked the honest way: through the Linux kernel's own source code. Two boards, a Raspberry Pi Zero 3 W and a Raspberry Pi 4 Model A, have quietly turned up in Raspberry Pi's kernel tree, in a merged pull request adding device trees for the Pi Zero 3 W and Pi 4A. Hackster reports the request went into the Raspberry Pi kernel repository on GitHub, signed off by Raspberry Pi's Marta Momotko.
Neither board gets the Pi 5's chip. Bret Weber parsed the files on his blog: the Zero 3 W runs the Broadcom BCM2711, the same quad-core Cortex-A72 chip that powers the Raspberry Pi 4, replacing the Zero 2 W's quad-core 1GHz Cortex-A53. Phoronix puts the new SoC the same way and says it looks like it could be here soon.
The Model A is the nostalgic one. Hackster points out there has not been a Model A since the Raspberry Pi 3, and the tradition means smaller and cut down.

In the lawsuit I used as an example in the thread at the quoted post, the plaintiffs won a temporary restraining order prohibiting the Trump regime from threatening election workers and officials. Tonight the 9th Circuit stayed this prohibition. https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/28863968-seiuthompsonca9110226pdf/ 1/ #LawFedi
@heidilifeldman And it looks like it's going to en banc, with briefs due in 2 minutes.
@jalefkowit Five sentences in that huge barf: “… I believe in a woman’s right to choose…”.
Ah. Are you going to be endorsing Mike Rogers? While still saying that?
@gnpar You do realize that's how most US voters cast their ballots, right?
@mattblaze I did not realize that, I thought they were still mostly using touchscreen machines.
I also did not realize this was a maga talking point.
Sorry for the noise, thanks for the education.
If you’re American, you can skip checking social media tomorrow. It’s just gonna be people who already voted yelling at each other to go vote
@jalefkowit less tooting more voting

Legacy media (hell, almost all medie) don't bother with context -- a major and perpetual failing.
Boy, incisive commentary like this is really making me regret deleting my account on X, The Everything App™
@jalefkowit the balrog? seriously? i mean i get the darth vader worship, but THE BALROG was a victim of what exactly? being born of fire?

Friends, I am 39 today. What a full year of life that was. I plan to make the most of the next one, too!
@ThreeOhFour happy birthday
I am extremely hopeful about the outcome of America's elections tomorrow. I'm also extremely skeptical about the polling numbers I'm seeing. Yet a friend with deep knowledge says that -- this time -- the polls are right. Doesn't matter. Vote as if your life depended on it. Because it might.
@dangillmor same, I think Dems will win - but also the Trump backlash will kill the republic
Ok, fine, I’ll bite: What’s Sup?

Is there a way to not see duplicate of the same topic across different communities?
Hi everyone!
I’m really enjoying the Fediverse through Lemmy and Peertube.
One creator I enjoy and follow on the Fediverse is Gardiner Bryant as his content is really enjoyable.
Sadly he ´s the target of my post as he shares his content on many different communities that I follow.
Today I had 5 times the same topic on RetroDeck (great project too) on my feed on Lemmy (Voyager).
It is the same on PieFed (Interstellar).
This is really annoying and I haven’t found a way to not show these duplicates. Do you know about one or is it worked on?
Also when crossposting, it would be great if everything appeared under on post. Is it feasible?
Sorry if it’s easy and I just missed it. In a way I hope it is because it would mean that the Fediverse is festure rich😇
Sup? I'm on the waitlist for the social web messenger. Arriving 2027. @sup https://getsup.net/join?ref=79H8GZXQ
As an admin on Fedi, I used to welcome new users, fight Nazis, and suspend trolls.
Now all I do is fight against the endless army of soulless scam machines, forever marching against our server walls in an attempt to destroy the community we've built here. It's exhausting and disheartening. At least the Nazis and Trolls were real people who would get pissed and fuck off eventually, but the LLMs will run as long as someone pays the electric bill for them.
