I have written TONS about how this entire Task Force is an attempt to shut down white collar prosecution and create propaganda events like this one.
@alioilhan.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy should write a furious letter about Bessent trying to cover this up. Or at least @governorwalz.mn.gov@bsky.brid.gy.

@fluffy they are just running entire browsers now
@scanlime I wish there were a way to just see the end-to-end transit destination of these packets. trying to correlate everything through tcpdump on multiple proxy hops is like swimming through a straw
would have been MUCH faster to track this down if I could just see "yeah your peertube instance is sending a shitload of data to the 17.166.0.0/16 subnet"

@ryanleesipes @patrick_h_lauke @downey @thunderbird you uh, realize that this is the exact reason why people are leaving proton and tuta this week, right?
> CEO of Mozilla Thunderbird
oh my mistake, you don’t realize fuck about shit
A new Proton Experimental update was released today with fixes for Valor Mortis, The Witcher 3 Remastered, Helldivers 2, and more on #SteamDeck:
I was so busy laughing at Obama’s dig that I didn’t clock this!
Sam Altman says it’s better for RAM to be in a data center than on your desk https://www.theverge.com/ai-artificial-intelligence/1023820/sam-altman-ram-shortage-cloud-servers
@verge I say Sam Altman can go fuck himself in the face
@AkaSci Determinedly throughout referring to "Mr Stewart" ... ignoring these stupid knighthood thingies.
# Reddit is moving to “a logged-in-only experience,” CEO says
Soddit.
So much for the open web.
Although, given ID requirements for social media in some countries, I guess that we will see a lot more of this (although that is not a stated cause here).

@neil There already huge pushback on reddit over this and the CEO is already trying to play it down and say they are only testing it for now
It's been surprising!
OMG so close
If you want to understand how bad things are in America, the comic strip Crankshaft is doing dark realistic political criticism this week. No, I’m not joking. https://www.gocomics.com/crankshaft/2026/10/28 (from the creator of Funky Winkerbean.)
Per the address label on the record, it belong to a Susan, who lived here in New Jersey some time a long time ago (I assume in 1978 or so). Given the lack of similar stickers on any of the other records, someone "borrowed it" from her after some party and never returned it. Or she or one of her family got rid of all the records without removing this one address sticker.
🤷
So the term for AI-generated animated films is "slop-motion", right?
Holy freaking cow. They aren’t even pretending even more. Selling pardons has become a lucrative side business. It would be sweet if it were found to be illegal and the pardons later overturned.
“President Donald Trump reportedly flew into a rage once he learned that Alina Habba Mildon got a $50 million contract to secure a pardon for a billionaire family.“

I almost kept https://columnly.social to myself because I know how opinionated clients can be, but I'm glad other people find it useful!
