Report: Palantir Targets UK MPs With ‘Intimidating’ Letters
"British MPs who criticised Palantir in parliament received 'intimidating' letters from the US spytech firm".
Eg, Palantir warned Clive Lewis that it "was surveilling his activities relating to Palantir last month", a letter that Lewis described as “very Big Brother” & an “implicit threat”.

Really excited to see progress on this effort after many many years of stalled discussion. Thanks to @Edent, @hongminhee, @lnkr, @north and @evan as well for their recent work on this matter, I can now see a fediverse in sight that supports the world's languages fully!
Addendum: if anyone knows what Arnt Gulbrandsen's fediverse handle is I would love to properly thank them!

through extensive research, i've discovered a new shape. i can't share it with you because it will get stolen
it's between a octacon and a rhonda
When you need to multiply 7*8 do you simply have it memorized, or do you need to add, subtract or otherwise connect it to another math fact that you know better?
That is do you simply think "56" or are there more thoughts that lead to 56?
@futurebird I have a learning disability that was never adequately addressed. I can do arithmetic only with a calculator. I have immense difficulty recalling equation strings I'm supposed to know, and I canNot conceptualize numbers in my head of more than about 5. I have aphantasia and cannot 'see' in my mind, and I actually organize most by a system of spacial relations I find difficult to explain. Oddly, I still passed Calc3 in Uni, due largely to its spacial nature and a graphing TI hehe.

@virbonus
The fact that it has been created by genAI totally undo its point.
@fribbledom
How so?

Very nice people here! And meeting @steffo and his friends has been fantastic!
I don't know. I think if you have a procedure that prevents errors that can just be a way to follow it. It can be easier to check everything than only what needs to be checked.
@futurebird @len I get the benefit of following a set procedure, but over-reliance on a calculator then causes problems when square roots of negative numbers enter the equation on many calculators (or phone apps).
