Yep. I’m a communist but let’s be fair, this is not even a problem with capitalism. It’s not a win-lose situation where the oligarchs make money off of your misery. It’s a lose-lose where your misery causes lower productivity and the only thing that fuels it is a shitty, psychotic culture of dominance, obedience and puritan values.

TBF Brazil is only richer than Portugal in terms of GDP, because it has like 15 times the population. Portugal still has twice the GDP (PPP) per capita of Brazil. Of course, in terms of politically power, Brazil dwarfs Portugal, which is probably more important for this particular issue.
