Honestly? I wish them the best. #Chicago
I like this place because there is no expectation of not being an absolute weirdo

If free software is not about ethics, then what the fuck is its point.
We got hacked and it's Chris's fault

I had no idea ice rinks were so complex. I'd imagined a system of cooling pipes, but assumed that they then added layers of water on top to freeze.
The power bills must be enormous.

@fediverse Writing this from Mastodon as a Test. Hello!
Time to catch Mr Altman...
I was scrolling on Instagram and this video came up and froze at this point so please tell me I’m not the only person who thought this was an oddly shaped penis?
@Alice it's just you
At the age of 86, Willie stopped smoking weed to protect his health. After years of dealing with breathing problems, pneumonia and emphysema, he thought he had better call it quits. But to stop us worrying, he clarified that he was still consuming the cannabis chemicals THC (to get high) and CBD (to fix his aches and pains) in food and drink. “I had a lung collapse, so I have to be really careful. I do edibles at night,” he tells me.

@mattblaze Yeah, definitely not a straight documentary. The fact that we're trying to define what, exactly, this thing that we all saw actually was? Fantastic.
@dwallach One thing I learned from the film (OK, I probably knew this already) is that if I'm ever about to go to prison for a long time, I'm not likely to invite a film crew to live with me during the month before I surrender.
CA senators are the least accountable and responsive, and it shows. it would be fine if they always voted well and didn't need to be called but that is not the case! lol
@inquiline yeah Washington Senators also aren't particularly accountable -- there isn't any good way to put political pressure on the, and they've always been prone to blowing off their constituents. My attitude though is that they're competent enough that they take the longer term interest of the party into account and so on bills like this it's good that they hear what the grassroots have to say, even if it doesn't change their vote it can have an impact on the behind-the-scenes convos. Or not, but you can't win if you don't play.
