@jcoglan @glyph PDM and Poetry both use a pyproject.toml. If you're unfamiliar with tooling, pyproject.toml won't obviously show up as a sign of "using PDM or Poetry". But even if you're skilled with both tools the presence of pyproject.toml is not adequate to determine if PDM or Poetry is used, and IME asking PDM to execute a pyproject.toml created for Poetry can result in an error. The error does not obviously communicate "well, this file follows Poetry conventions".
@jcoglan @glyph Sometimes I encounter C programmers who are annoyed that Rust REQUIRES Cargo and that there are no projects using an alternative to Cargo or which don't 100% work through Cargo, and that you can't realistically just sit down with rustc and compile a Rust project yourself, you have to also have Cargo installed.

Poll: Have you ever seen a penguin (in real life)
@mcc we had real penguins at our wedding!
On the Fediverse you can observe people circling each other, getting closer and more familiar without being disturbed by trolls and "get a room" guys. This warms my heart.
My pal Hendrix is pretty sharp. He has a look when he's thinking; this is his pensive look. Its looks like he's angry but really he's thinking...
...in this case, about giving me a headbutt!
MorphOS 3.21 released with new office suite
About five months after the previous release, the MorphOS team has released MorphOS 3.21. It brings the usual list of big fixes and smaller improvements, but there's a few big ticket items in here as well.
MorphOS 3.21 introduces BasicWorks, an office suite made up of CellBasics and PageBasics. It offers document and spreadsheet authoring and lo

@mcc @glyph the choices of tooling thing is huge. I get that each individual project does not want to explain python build tools, but as someone who has been contracted to work on several python open source projects without being a python specialist, "every project makes different tooling choices and none of them explain their build" has been a huge source of friction

@danedeasy NOT HELPING!
I don't even have a Switch 1 anymore. Sold it due to lack of play and needing some money at the time. We'd play this Zelda game and then it'd probably sit until maybe the next Zelda game.
So on the one hand.... that'd be dumb. I mean, truth is, no one in the house really plays consoles much.
On the other hand, specifically Zelda games get played.
This new game is a Zelda game.
So you see how this is difficult.
I mean... money is just a human construct....
