In my opinion, xmpp kinda fits perfectly? It was used in multiple platforms before (google, facebook, Gaia online, and gosh the list goes on, every platform 2005-2013???)

Why wouldn’t it be a decent solution for the fediverse software to pair with it, just like other networks did before?? Fediverse accounts already have the schema (user)@(domain.tld)

I understand Matrix needs more storage than xmpp, but I think either one could work.

@mangotable What, do I look like a capybara to you?! 🤪

Don't mind me. I'm just out here creating proprietary technology in my SLEEP. Those lads down in sillycone valley don't even know what's what. There's a new player in town. Disruptor? I hardly knew 'er?

Why are your containers running sshd you know never mind

@ai6yr

Ours have never been sour. Tart maybe, but not sour.

Quartered calamondin does very well in cheap Irish whiskey and improves it nicely.

Duck ala calamondin is basically demanded by my in-laws annually.

The zest goes very well in creme brule, using the juice to melt the sugar for the top brule.

Calamondin & ginger cardamom cookies.

Rhubarb & calamondin crisp.

Or just thin sliced on fish then high broiler.

@cvwarren Oof... they need bollards.

@chartier only on the second Saturday of the month….

@pre I don't think my memory's too bad but I've noticed how I rely on the internet to remember things (or spell words correctly).

I suppose the instant-ness of the internet makes us a bit lazy when bothering to remember things. Or it's the overload of information, much of it not strictly important to oneself. I'm often retelling information but not remembering where I saw it, whether it was on TV or internet or in a book.

@futzle teams is used with handsets disappearing off desks. I only answer calls via my work laptop so good luck trying to contact me out of work hours when it’s turned off! I quietly removed my personal mobile number from any contact lists back in 2020 when WFH arrived in a rush as I quickly worked out people were going to abuse it.
