So would em be consistent if I had one image that's like, 50x50, and another svg that's like 2000x2000?
@Tourma It’s consistent to the text size. ‘1em’ is essentially the height of the characters in the text, at whatever size they are. Any images styles that way will be scaled as much as they have to be (up or down) to match the declared size.
Marcy Wheeler offers some pushback on the “dump Hakeem Jeffries” movement. She’s a sharp observer who’s been at this for a long time, and I think her logic here is sound, even if I don’t agree with every single point.

Made a thing. Fedigest is a self-hosted site where you pick posts from anywhere in the threadiverse, write a few lines about why they’re worth reading, and publish them as one front page.
Comments are pulled live from the original thread. Want to vote or reply? Enter your home instance once, it gets saved in your browser, and from then on every post takes you straight to the same post on your own instance. It can also follow communities and add new posts automatically.
Comes with 15 themes (light/dark pairs follow your device, and there’s a terminal one with an old PC font), and you can make your own with a live preview.
Runs as one Docker container, SQLite inside. Still early, version 0.1.3. Built with help from an LLM.

@futurebird @mastodonmigration I think language matters. The OP mentions Schumer supporters as "moderate" which can have positive connotations. Whereas, those who want to support him remaining, are "nuts"... probably not a suitable name either, but need some way of referring to them that indicates this sort of thing.
"More of the same" is surely(?) not what USians voted for. Simply wanting to oust Schumer is "moderate".
Agree that "Moderate" is not a perfect label. The other term that has been used to contrast with the more "Progressive" side of the Dem Party is "Centrist". In any case, these labels are useful only to characterize a division within the party, and do not in themselves convey sufficient detail.
