New, from me:
Several staffers at the White House are using computers or mobile devices equipped with residential proxy services that render their internet address available for others to rent, security experts warned today. One of the proxy services is a Russian company whose founder’s web hosting business was ground zero for cyberattacks against election systems in Arizona and Illinois in 2016.

@briankrebs this is looking even worse than it did this morning. ugh.
Wer baut sowas?
I dunno Mr. Jeffries. I can’t speak to the feelings of all Americans, but personally, I absofuckinglutely want to get even. I want to get even, and then get more. I want the companies, the people, the entire machine behind this fascist nonsense, to suffer and get beaten back and dismantled so hard they never try again.
I'm still disappointed they didn't have any flamethrowers in 300.
@lowqualityfacts that is a mistranslation. It really says they had extreme flatulence.
@ai6yr
Didn't even feel anything here.

Daddy: "Hey kiddo, what do you think of this church?"
Kiddo: "That's AI."
Daddy: "It's not."
Kiddo: "It's AI. You can tell from all the greebling."
Daddy: "It's the Asam Church in Germany. It invented the greebling that the AI trained on."
Kiddo: "Wow."

I ordered some A4 prints and some packing tubes. I want to try selling some of my photos (and looks like it’s going to be by hand).
Hi, I also decided to open a shop, maybe theres some inspiration for you, it just went live. the photos/inventory will change a lot over the next days. not the best pics online yet.

3 seats on the Criminal Appeals court were up. 2 definitely flipped, the other appears that it probably will, though it's not called yet. This will make the court 6 Republicans to the 3 Democrats, so it hasn't flipped, but this is as much as possible in this election.
There is also a 3-judge "15th Court of Appeals". This is new -- all 3 judges were appointed by Abbott when it was created to deal with constitutional issues and the state government (to me this sounds like it was meant to provide a rubber stamp for Abbott's authoritarian power grabs).
ALL 3 seats have flipped to Democrats in this first election for the court.
I think this is going to matter.
I have to admit, I had expected a little more from #ghost … 🧐 💔
@stephan
Did you give up the ghost? (SCNR)
Everything happening in American politics from the fall of the Soviet Union to now is an open question about the cost of Empire and the costs—economic, political, and moral—to maintain it. So long as we avoid openly discussing that, we’ll be stuck in a fascist loop.
Texas went blue for a LOT of offices, including court seats.
The TX Supreme Court WAS 9 Republicans. 6 men and 3 women.
4 of the men, including the Chief Justice were up for election.
ALL 4 have been replaced with Democratic women.
The court is now 5 Republicans to 4 Democrats.
And now majority female: 2 men and 7 women, including Chief Justice Maggie Ellis.
I can't help but think the abortion issue may have been a factor here, with the Dobbs decision and Texas enacting draconian anti-abortion laws, in addition to getting caught in the "blue wave".

It's important both to stave off the giant looming despair but also because there's a potential strategy here. We can *convince* the cishets they were tricked. Think about how people reversed themselves so fully on gay marriage when the wind started blowing the other way. It is actually possible to get the cishets into a place where six years from now nobody will admit they supported the 2026 anti-trans ballot initiatives.
It would help if the NYT went out of business. (3/3)
@mcc this! It's incredible how normies just follow the media and culture. If the wind blows the other way they start going with it.
In my own country we're seeing a reversal on the topic of housing, and I think it's because the protests we're doing look good on TV.
Also on the FreeBSD forum I said "shit" and got chastised for foul language.
Did I mention I met my YubiKey fanboy twin at YubiNation?
