Just ran into yet another informational Youtube video that would be fine, if it didn't fill the audio channel with horrible sound effect and the video with distracting edits and animations. I wish video makers would JUST CALM DOWN

The time zone boundary in Ontario between former Eastern Standard time and Central Standard time is a straight line at -90° longitude !right up to Hudson Bay shores.

I actually just got an email back from a Paul Eggert from the tz IANA mailing list. I’ve added my voice there with copious news reports showing the expectation that PCT would be the abbreviation.
Hopefully this is just a blip in time.

@ajroach42 thank you Andrew. That was a detailed account. Noted. A developer acting unprofessional? Say it ain’t so!? Lol. I follow them here and on loops, but i have not seen them act like this. I do recall others mentioning it now, i thought it was someone else, tbh. I read a recent post by them and I did think it was odd how they wrote up their failures as achievements like that. Seemed a bit defensive. Hmm. Didn’t they make this space? These are weird and stressful times. I got here late compared to most so i missed the drama.

@r I don't think it's complicated, people (in general) don't think about it very deeply. The bills say they "restore fairness in school sports" oh that sounds good, everyone wants a fair chance! I think that's as deep as most people get, and proponents can push trans scarecrows that simply don't exist since most people don't know a trans kid and don't empathize with what they don't know. And considering second order effects takes practice/training.

Hmm, what is going on here, I wonder. It's suicidal to try to cross over the I-35 (in general). So, they aren't going across the I-35. People walking and just getting run over at the intersections? Car stalled out, hopped out and nailed by passing car? 🤔

Got it running pretty well on the Steam Frame now, after re-building the physics and using piles of caching in the shader. Still runs into trouble with lots of particles though.
I am finding myself having quite a bit of fun exploring the vast caverns and tiny passageways of the seed-generated tunnel maps. They sometimes look very pretty, and there's a lot more improvement to be done there too.
