I find it interesting that ancient Egyptian art portrays almost everyone in the prime of their lives and wondrously healthy, because the idealized perfection is the point — but this painting of a boat construction crew shows an elderly supervisor, implying that his wisdom and experience for the task are just as ideal in a perfect world as the strong young workers.

Following several "is there a sale/deal for this?" thread to buy a new Atmos/DTS:X soundbar and satellites because the price of replacing my current amp (for my nice old 6 channel Wharfedale bookshelf speakers) is actually going to be more expensive than buying into a whole new ecosystem where the amp is integrated into the soundbar that also handles the front channels.

Online friends are fine. People actually near me, even if snazzy trousers? No, thanks!
@neil same, though the cats are welcome to sleep nearby :)

@mosgaard @dreamer I guess that is true. For me, the question is: on what basis can or should I categorize developers?
Often, I don't know how something came about; at best, I can perhaps guess.
And, then, sometimes something that was created by someone with zero understanding how it actually works might still be interesting for a certain audience, because it perhaps features a novel approach to something or solves a rare problem.
Maybe there is simply no solution to this. I don't know. 🤔
@amadeus @mosgaard @dreamer that's an interesting discussion among the forums atm. Makes me think about what I care and don't care about in choosing/buying plugins. Occasionally I come across statements like these on the developers website: https://mouseplugins.com/en/about

It inspires trust when a company publishes its stance on the matter, so the potential user can make up their own mind. REAPER just recently removed tools in an update following public outcry to reassess.

LIFE WITH AN ORDINARY GUY WHO REINCARNATED INTO A TOTAL FANTASY KNOCKOUT
now I see why fedi likes the weeewooo, but what is the wooo about?
Yes yes I'm somewhat happy with the results.
I'd like to point out what happened *the last time* "a landslide" happened.
That's right. Nothing. Everyone went back to DEFCON 5 and this shit started again a few years later.
So ffs I hope someone is really grabbing things by the p… err… root now?
Nie powinno to dziwić. Pod uchwałą mogli podpisać się wyłącznie mieszkańcy Krakowa, a to właśnie oni mają najwięcej do zyskania dzięki dobrze zaprojektowanej SCT:
- czystsze powietrze,
- mniej samochodów na ulicach,
- dodatkowe dziesiątki milionów złotych na rozwój transportu publicznego w ciągu 3 lat.
315 podpisów to zaledwie 0,04% mieszkańców Krakowa.
