Soooo the guy who has government contracts and fucked an employee, who just happened to be a chinese spy, is not a NUMBER 1 NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT?!
I wouldn't not have expected to lose weight on prednisone, but my weight loss/gain has become a total black box, so who the heck knows what's going on anymore?

@TheOneDoc I suspect there will be some coalitions so broad that even fascists can get on board with them, though within those spaces, the fash should be ineffectual at swaying the direction of the coalition. "A broken clock is right twice a day" type of thing. The 4F model of software freedom, weak as it is, has room for fascists in it, though its current biggest problem is letting those people *lead* and limit the values of everyone else in the room.
The most useful coalitions will be narrower, though, and I think antifascism is one of the next easiest things to get people to agree on after the big tent of 4F. And the discourse in those spaces, the connections in them, mean that in the bigger tent coalitions, you have a massive "friend group" of smaller orgs who know and trust each other from the antifascist places, and then a handful of ill-connected technolibertarian weirdos who can't get deeper than the fringe of the big tent coalition.
Rejected a follow request from an account with a bio that gave me the creeps. Maybe that was unintentional, but I'm pretty sure we weren't destined to be soulmates.
@MarkAsser well excuse me for wanting to follow you 😜
You've never really heard accordion music until you've heard Ukrainian accordion virtuoso Oleksandr Khrustevych playing.
Here he is performing Vivaldi's The Four Seasons: Summer 🎶 🤩
None of this is thanks to private equity, venture capital, the Rockefellers, the Kochs, Peter Thiel, Silicon Valley or AI, just pure human heart, artistry and dedication.
The egg hatches and a bird emerges. What happens when the bird hatches?
Tacos!
@baldur Probably.
As far as I know, the ratio is 0% for all the devs I currently read prose from off work.
(At work, it's getting more and more weird communicating with Claude through a large and growing number of different human names. It sometimes feels like I have like 5 coworkers in total, but one of them - Claude - signs its communication with 20+ different names.)
Right that's the infamous Water Temple done. Didn't seem as bad as I remembered this time round and the boss was probably one of the easiest ones so far.
@Sylvhem The single thing I found that AI made... uhh... "better" (for some values of better) is awful people outing themselves a lot faster, much more loudly, which lets me block the heck out of them sooner.
Sadly, it turns out a lot of people I respected ended up being awful people, so the net result is still shit.
When you feel tempted to lower your expectations to half-assed, go whole-assed.

Whoever is pushing for Jeffries & Schumer to stay in leadership it sure as heck isn’t the people...
An NBC poll from four days ago showed Hakeem Jeffries with an approval rating of 18%. Chuck Schumer at 13%. This should be case closed.
Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries telling us they're gonna hold Republicans accountable and stop taking AIPAC money. 🤦♂️

@mastodonmigration I wish you would decouple Jeffries and Schumer here. They are quite distinct as individuals and as political leaders.
"Whoever is pushing for Jeffries" would include, I should imagine, many of the African Americans who have been (as Jeff Jarvis observes in a recent post) the saviors of democracy in the United States. I would think long and hard before pushing an effort to defeat the first Black Speaker of the House — and especially if your justification is a specious poll.
I like this place because there is no expectation of not being an absolute weirdo
