Important question time!
What is your preferred way to consume eggs?
(yes, the way I learned, there is a subtle difference between OH and OW).
I'm out of options, so I'm leaving a few off. Omelettes are really just scrambled with stuff in them.
So if you have something else you like, just reply.
And as always boosts for exposure are appreciated.

People are upset when the find out the Lemmy lead devs are like straight up authoritarian communists.
Mostly Third-Way-Reddit-liberal refugees who don’t realize they’re not progressive just because Fox News calls thier party “radical socialist leftists” constantly, these are the same people screeching that America only votes for leftists for Senate some places because there wasn’t another choice and that what b the country really wanted was moderate Dems.
Also the Piefed devs; didn’t they get caught hardcoding a block list into Piefed or something? I know there was a lemmy front end that did that (Tesseract; I made the list yay!) but not long after that Piefed got caught doing something similar but I don’t recall exactly what it was; all I remember was that I decided I no longer trust Piefed and I won’t use it. Shit I’ll try and search it and see if I can come up with a better answer
Julia Child says I’m not letting my baguette dough rise long enough so I’m gonna ramp that up a lot which also means starting way earlier. Which is why no photos.
I can’t do all the rising she does because if I do it can’t get done before #monsterdon and that’s not acceptable!
Also I added the water a bit all at once which she also thinks is important? So it’s a bit wetter a dough but hopefully that’ll help with the rise.
Same ingredients tho’. Also leaving everything else the same for easier comparison.
Rumor has it that due to #eth0 , prices of stroopwafels have spiked up by over 2000%
This is false information, the stroopwafel prijsindex still lists it as €0,36. Any reports to the contrary are simply fake news
#SamAltman, here is what I think: Honestly, it’s quite terrible that so many billions are just sitting idle in billionaires’ accounts, utilized maybe 5% of the time. From a global allocation standpoint, that wealth should obviously be made available to the public, where it can do far more good around the clock.
Is it too early to take a nap? 🤪
@ai6yr I’ll ask my cats… later, they’re napping
The myth that software needs constant updates has utterly undermined the principles of free software and immensely empowered sloppers and other bad actors.
The whole idea was supposed to be that, once you get something released as free software, you have it forever, and don't have to care about the people who made it selling out and betraying you.
That was like the whole distinction from proprietary software, where we knew it would always end that way.
And somehow we let the worst people in out spaces convince us that we have to accept the same from free software.
@varx yeah for sure!
@varx fortunately I am rich in these connections, though twitter used to be the main place and fragmentation really hurt that. tbh maybe bluesky would be more useful given my particular network...
RE: https://tldr.nettime.org/@tante/117581501051894340
And that is maybe the most insidious thing about LLMs: It gives everyone the permission to disrespect everyone else's knowledge and experience while in practice making everyone's position when trying to defend against capital worse.
That is the core economic corrosion: LLMs destroy the foundation for solidarity and cooperation.
@tante tbh, the complete disregard for intellectual property is one of the very few positive (i can't think of any other) things that came from LLMs - IP law has never not been a horrible damper on development
Apple’s “gray list” to curb unwanted or inflammatory autocomplete suggestions “is something users should be really well aware of and have some ability to customize," EFF’s @davidgreene told @Reuters. @matthewdgreen.bsky.social Anyway, Matt, I think I do an ok job of explaining US election minutiae in an accessible way. Perhaps you don’t think I do, but either way, I invite you to add your own voice to the effort against election disinformation.
